I am obsessed!
These are beautiful, rich and creamy paints. I am obsessed with collecting watercolor sets for painting and these are in my top 5. I took a chance because the deal was so good and they were in my wish list and I got them almost half price. It was well worth waiting for. The paints activate quickly and are rich in pigment. Iโm not a stickler for whether itโs true ultramarine blue or any of that, I just really enjoy how beautiful these are and since I donโt paint conventionally, it does t matter to me if the colors are true to their names. There were a few that did not look like what the swatch chart indicated, until I activated them and searched them and it was really cool to see some of those colors burst forth! For instance, none of the purples LOOKED purple in the palette however, once activated with water and swatched, they were indeed purple. The one con I would say I guess, is that the metallic colors were a little unimpressive to me BUT then I tried them on black cardstock and it changed the game a bit because they showed up way better. As you can see next to the metallics (in the photo on black paper), I also sampled a couple of the purples to see if they showed up in black and they did. Of course they show up better on white or lighter base though. Overall, I am very happy with how much paint is in each pan, the richness of color, and overall price.

Great variety of gold tone watercolors!
Lovely paint set. The pans are a nice large size and easy to use. The pans dry after use particularly quickly which is nice for storage. The storage box is sturdy and holds the reference page with colors and their lightfastness which is important for professional/archival use. Note that most of the colors are medium lightfast, with only the lightest one as strong. But that is still better than most metallics i think! Beautiful color variety and they make a rich creamy watercolor.

Pseudo pro level great paints at student price!!
I love them. Great pan size. More opaques than transparents. Plenty of semi-transp. Loads of pigment! Easy to wet, and they blend well. Not as many sedimentary or granulating colors as the top top brands (with the price itโs unfair to compare) but enough tricks to make it fun. Add granulation medium if you want. They are honest with you about lightfastness by color so you know what to expect. โฆ. All at an amazing price! Thank you!!!

Nice set of 48 vibrant colors at a great price
Excellent set of student paints in a wide variety of useable colors. Thereโs a variety of opacity between opaque, semi-opaque and transparent. Thereโs even three metallic shades: gold, copper and silver.. The opacity was expected in this brand, so I tested out the blending and mixing of shades. They mix well and the blue granulated. As I layered them, I had mixed results. The paint is thick and gelatinous, unlike tubes or cakes. I think it would just take getting used to. I think a lot would be over-used but that is the same in all versions. Swatching was fun. The colors are rich, beautiful and useable. ****One thing to suggest to the manufacturer: create a case (even plastic) for these beautiful colors. The act of spraying the colors to activate them already affected the paper box which the second pan of 24 remain inside.

Surprising quality for a very reasonable price
These paints are so creamy and saturated and the metallics are really pretty! Plus, they are full-sized pans! I will definitely look for other colors!

Professional quality
Love love love these bright, sparkling colors. I enjoy adding them to the whole rainbow of paints and watching them shimmer. Def a valuable purchase, and would buy them again. Works on papers:watercolor, mixed media and on canvas. very blendable and fun to use . Layering makes them deeper and stronger in sparkle.

Great product!
These are amazing! I may like them even more than my Kuretake set of paints. They are also packaged nicely as the box consists of two layers of paints and each layer comes with a quality cover to protect them, so there is no issue stacking them in the box. In addition, there are little handles on each side of the first layer of paints to easily lift them off of the second layer. The colors are vibrant and lovely. I will definitely purchase again in the future.

Great value!
These watercolors are gorgeous! The pans are large and easy to use. So pigmented and a little goes a long way. I haven't used the Kuretake gansai tambi watercolors but wanted a comparable product. I think this is it!! Really happy with this purchase. One criticism though, the pans are not labeled in any way, so if they mixed up it might be difficult to be sure you have the correct color. I will end up at least putting a number on the back of each pan and on the swatch palette as well, to avoid any confusion later. Other than that I definitely would recommend!
