Best peanuts ever!
We have been Virginia Diner peanut fans for many years. They are delicious. However, based on the reviews for these Royal Oak peanuts, we decided to give them a try. They are incredibly DELICIOUS! The peanuts are large, plump Virginia peanuts, super fresh, very crisp and crunchy, cooked and salted to perfection and quite addictive. The price is also less than either Virginia Diner or The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg. They are, hands down, the best peanuts we've ever eaten. It is recommended to refrigerate or freeze them after opening to retain freshness.

Beautiful, full flavor and
Beautiful, full flavor and, of course, that "snap" of blanched peanuts which we are all looking for in a Virginia peanut. The peanuts were large, although not as large as some we have enjoyed. Approximately 50% were still whole. We ordered two cans. Right after opening one can and portioning out half of it in snack containers, we sealed up the remaining half in a quart mason jar and froze it for later. The other can is stored in a cool, dry place (which the kids cannot find, ha ha!)We like that they were fried in peanut oil and not canola/vegetable/other. The salt was just right, and the protein vs. fat content was best for our dietary requirements, compared to other brands. We will buy these again, as the quality, nutrition and price is great for our family.

THESE ARE TRULY "ROYAL" PEANUTS
I'm a peanut connoisseur and consider the brands you find in supermarkets to be inedible. Over time I've tried many peanuts from roasters in Virginia, North Carolina, and other growing regions. Some of them are quite good but Royal Oak is head and shoulders above the rest. (The only equal I've found were from a United Methodist Church in Wilson, NC, where they've hand-crafted jumbo, water blanched, roasted peanuts for many years, as a fund raiser.) When I ordered 4 large tins of the Royal Oak peanuts I was momentarily distracted and accidentally clicked on the salted type by mistake. Rather than exchange them I tried a can and found them to be lightly salted, without any accumulation in the bottom, so they were fine for me. (Many other brands of salted nuts are entirely too salty, or vary a lot within each can.) The things that give Royal Oak peanuts 5 stars:(1) Jumbo size -- really large peanuts(2) A high proportion of whole nuts, instead of most being broken into halves.(3) Super crunchy, a result of them being water blanched just before cooking (which gives them blisters).(4) Simply delicious fresh peanut flavor...and not a bit oily! To keep them fresh the cans are metal, with an inner foil seal under the metal lid, instead of the wimpy paper-foil "cans" with plastic lids that some roasters use.You only get one chance to make a first impression. Royal Oak certainly convinced me that, with the possible exception of some botique roaster like the long-standing church team I mentioned, they are simply the "pinnacle of peanut perfection"... at a surprisingly competitive price. (Free shipping and no tax was a nice bonus.) So I'll be back as a repeat customer and I highly recommend you try them, too.

Crunchy and Fabulous
As my husband enjoys the large crunchy Virginia peanuts I ordered Royal Oak salted peanuts and peanuts from the Peanut Shop of Williamsburg for him. Hands down, Royal Oak Peanuts in the blue tin are the best choice. They are very large, crunchy and fresh tasting with just the right amount of salt. The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg peanuts we found to be smaller and they appeared to have an oily film over them. Not nearly as fresh tasting as Royal Oak Blue label Virginia peanuts. These Royal Oak Peanuts are expensive but worth the treat. We used to get the Costco brand(Kirkland) of large Virginia peanuts but they have stopped supplying them as of about nine months ago. I would definitely recommend Royal Oak Peanuts.

Wow
What should have been a year's worth of peanuts were gone in a month. They are incredibly large, incredibly crunchy and the taste is excellent. They may be the best peanuts in the world. In fact, while writing this I just popped on my amazon prime app and bought another 2-pack. What can I say, they're really freaking good. This all started when I tried the "expensive" Virginia style peanuts at my grocery store. I buy nuts on occasion but it's not something I buy regularly. They actually were really better. So figuring if these generic grocery store brand nuts are better than normal peanuts, I wonder what true gourmet ones would be like.I went online and looked up world's best peanuts or something like that and I found this site. I will buy anything with free shipping apparently, even two massive tins of peanuts. 2 days later I got them and here I am writing a review and buying more. You won't be sorry with these.

The only peanuts my husband will eat
Large, fresh and delicious. Not your average peanuts.

Just great peanuts
My family has been through many cans of these wonderful Royal Oak peanuts. The peanuts are large, crisp, and have just the right amount of salt. The biggest problem is trying not to eat the whole can the day they arrive! We have little salsa bowls in which we put 1-3 oz of peanuts at a time to limit the overeating. In addition to using them for a snack they are just fantastic for a trail mix (mix equal part peanuts, M&Ms, and raisins...you will never buy pre-made trail mix again). And they are also great in Kung Pao stir fry dishes. Oh, the heavy gauge aluminum foil seal that you have to break to get to the peanuts can be deadly if you are not careful. I recommend piercing it with a sharp, serrated knife and cutting the foil out all at once to protect your hands. BTW use the back end of a spoon to pry the lid off the first few times you open the can.

The best blistered peanuts
Had been using the Williamsburg peanuts which are very good. But after reading reviews decided to try these. These are the best. Large, blistered peanuts. So good and crunchy.
