PresentationThe Nioxin System 1 - Hair Thickening System was supplied in a branded cardboard box containing three plastic bottles, scalp & hair shampoo, scalp & hair conditioner and scalp & hair treatment. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were 150ml each in a push/pop up cap format but the treatment was a 50ml bottle with a pump action (and a stop action for pump).First ImpressionsThe shampoo and conditioner were similar in terms of their scent with a light minty aroma, the shampoo having a blue tint to it and the conditioner being white, whilst the treatment is colourless and as far as I could detect also had a minty scent. The scent does prevail after washing all down to the peppermint oils and is slightly clinical in terms of that aroma. The set is a 1-2-3 use with the standard format of shampooing and conditioning the hair then applying the treatment which is left on the hair, not rinsed off.Day To Day UseThis was for my daughter who has suffered some thinning due to stress and has tried a few things to regain what was a very full and thick head of hair. Having used it all up now she does feel that the treatment has had some benefits, her hair is a little thicker and bouncier as a result of using it. The use though was in tandem with some medication so we cannot be 100% certain all of the benefits were due to the Nioxin 3-step treatment though for certain it seemed to add that bounce to the hair and she is happy with the results.Summing UpGiven that it seems to be a success it would be beneficial to prolong the use and determine the long term benefits, however the cost of this is quite steep and on her income she is not sure she could keep using it, but may consider using it a couple of times a week and other shampoos between the use of Nioxin.

My mum loves this set. She was recommended to use it by her hairdresser and it lasts her a long time. She always asks me to reorder it, so I know she likes it.

What I like about this product:✅ Thus Nioxin System 1 set is packed with active compounds which are known to benefit hair and scalp health. These ingredients nourish the scalp and improve hair resilience, which is essential for anyone experiencing thinning.✅ Salicylic acid in the shampoo is great for exfoliating the scalp, removing oil/product build up. This helps create a healthier environment for hair to grow.✅ Both the shampoo and conditioner contain natural extracts like Camellia sinensis leaf extract (green tea) and bilberry extract, which are rich in antioxidants. These help protect the scalp from environmental damage and oxidative stress, which can contribute to hair thinning.A few things to keep in mind:❌ The product contains sodium laureth sulphate, a common foaming agent that can be drying for some. If you have sensitive or very dry hair, this may not be for you. Once I noticed that my hair felt a bit dry after using it daily, I've started only using it every other day as a treatment.❌ Methyl nicotinate in the leave on treatment, is known for increasing blood flow to the scalp but can cause temporary redness or irritation for some users. While I haven’t experienced this personally, it’s something to be aware of if you have sensitive skin.❌ The peppermint oil provides a cooling effect which makes my scalp feel refreshed after each wash. The conditioner also includes peppermint oil, so the cooling sensation/smell continues even after rinsing. It is a little 'medicinal' in feeling though, especially since I'm used to lovely smelling fragranced shampoos/conditioners.❌ Small in size.In overall, while Nioxin System 1 has some great active ingredients that support scalp health and thicker looking hair, it’s important to be mindful of potential drying effects and sensitivities depending on your hair type or skin condition.

I have fine hair and was hoping this product would help but it did not
