From Chump to Champ: How Individuals Go from Good to Great

I very much enjoyed reading this book. I actually read this book aloud to my daughther who plays Girl's Volleyball as my wife drove back and fourth from the Beach to Orlando. We completed the book in one weekend. It's a very fast and easy read and gets to the point quickly, especially for teenagers who may lose interest easily. The author/coach provides excellent tips for parents too. A great book for families who have kids involved in sports or in school activities as well as for adults in their career and home life. Prior to reading the book, I attended a seminar in which the author spoke. He inspired me to buy his book which motivated me to become more involved in my daughters activities. I really like the title of the book which also enticed me to buy it. I my youth, my former boxing coach often used a similar phrase when coaching our Golden Gloves Boxing Team "Don't Chump Out on me Champ!" ... which basically meant for us to give it our all and leave everything in the ring, he also said "it's not always how good your are ... but how bad you want it". This book provides excellent examples of how to take it to the next level, to go from good to great.

Loved this book! It is very articulate and the short chapters make for a very fast easy read. It is applicable to many areas of ones journey thru life with many tips for success. Loved the analogies and I could relate on a professional level as well as a personal level. A great book to hand down from parent to offspring. I recommend this book highly for anyone who strives to reach for the next level to achieve their goals!
