Great simple dash cam!
This camera is more than enough for most drivers. It’s a simple, reliable dash cam that records whenever you’re on the road, what more can you ask? The compact design and lack of a screen make it easy to mount behind your rearview mirror, so it stays out of sight. The app was quick and straightforward to set up, and it doesn’t require an account, which is a nice change these days. The video quality looks crisp and clear with a wide-angle view that captures everything you need. I also bought the OBD power adapter, which made the wiring much cleaner. It lets you choose how long the camera stays powered after you turn off your car, with options for 10 minutes, 24 hours, or continuously. That flexibility is a great bonus.

Compact and High Quality Dash Cam
The camera is incredibly compact, so it’s barely noticeable behind my rear view mirror. Video quality is clear in 1080p, and the 140-degree field of view captures plenty of detail. I like the automatic recording and voice control, allowing me to use it while driving without letting go of my steering wheel. The setup was easy, and it works reliably every time I drive.

Very Small
This is a great little camera. Easy to use. Most of the reviews I read on here seem to be user error. Yeah of course your phone can’t connect to Apple Play and the camera at the same time. If you are looking for something simple this is the camera.

Good affordable video unit.
It works. Low profile. Video is good. Starts and stops automatically with vehicle power. Nice hands off verbal save commands. 1080 is the minimum resolution to see any plate numbers or detail. Software is clunky ( typical for Garmin ) with setup requiring multiple restarts/ resets and some updates unable to load. Consider the 3 year extended warranty as the several I have owned (mini 2, mini 3 , 30 , 47) usually fail between years 2-4.

Intermittently records, 1 minute each, no solid wireless connection
I once looked at Garmin as a leader of devices, not after this. Quick tip: Only download with the card outside of the camera, or it will take an hour for a minute long video on wireless with the app. Intermittently records; It has a mind of its own. It decided to not record for minutes. Doesn't have a 5 minute loop option, except 1-3 minutes if I remember? Yet records for longer. It takes much longer to automatically turn on when the car is on. I would say 12 seconds. If I was in a rush it still wouldn't be on. The wireless connection is extremely sensitive even when right next to it. I recall seeing more than half the screen in brown color when reviewing the live feed, randomly freezing or disconnecting entirely. The connection takes a very long time to do, holding the photo button and waiting, it takes a much longer time than other devices I have used (Instant vs. 20-30 seconds). Downloading a video, good luck doing that wirelessly. 1% to 2% in a minute for a 1 minute long video. I ended up cancelling that for sure. The app side video downloading area is a wreck. You are shown you can actively shorten the video into a section you download, but it decides for its self whether you can or not. You can't move the slider over to create a section until you retry several times. I recall there being little to no settings options. The blue and red lights were confusing, one minute both are on, the next just one light, the next one off the other blinking. You look online for what they mean and they have a helpful visual, but you're left guessing what it's doing because the blinks are a little close together to immediately know. I was confused because it said if it was blinking like it was it was saving.. I have had a Garmin Nuvi GPS since 2008 that still works. Battery lasts for a minute then dies, but overall the settings are pretty straightforward and things work. So what happened in those 17 years? It's like they went backwards. Unless this a scam product I just don't understand, Garmin. I ended up getting the Rove R2-4K, which is the same cost and it's not a piece of trash, it's great quality unlike this thing. Rove actually tried to give options.

Tiny camera, big protection
The Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3 is incredibly small but packs a punch. It’s ultracompact, easy to install, and unobtrusive on your windshield, yet records crisp 1080p HD video with a wide 140 degree field of view. It’s perfect for keeping an eye on the road without getting in the way. Affordable, reliable, and super convenient small enough to forget it’s there, powerful enough to protect you when you need it most.

Easy to use dashcam
Good dashcam but the mount has to be places at a strange angle in order to view the front of the car.

Important. This USA import does not have voice recognition of English -UK. Only English -United States is available. This means asking the unit to Take A Picture does not work. My other UK unit does. Otherwise the unit is of great quality and works well.

Installed the Garmin Mini 3 in my Mercedes and I’m honestly really impressed. It’s super compact—barely noticeable behind the rearview mirror, which is exactly what I wanted. The video quality is excellent, both day and night, and the wide field of view captures everything I need without distortion. Setup was easy with the app, and it connects quickly via Wi-Fi whenever I need to check footage or adjust settings. I love that it starts recording automatically and doesn’t require any input once it’s powered. The voice control is a nice bonus too. Overall, it’s a great little dash cam that does exactly what it promises—quietly, efficiently, and with great clarity. Highly recommend it if you want something clean and reliable without cluttering your windshield.

I had a near miss today - had to brake very sharply, and I hit the 'save' button shortly afterwards. I reviewed the stored videos hoping to get some details to report it to the police, but all that was on the camera is just old videos of going over speed bumps, or completely unremarkable driving. So I'd say it has failed to do the exact thing I wanted it for. Everything is set up correctly, good positioning, correct wiring for power, large SD card, good settings, and I'd tested it after installation - but for whatever reason, it failed just when I wanted it to work. I'll give it an extra star above minimum though, because it is a very high quality unit, compact enough to hide out of drivers' sight behind the rear view mirror, easy installation, nice long cable to allow routing the cable to power.

Creo que en estos tiempos es imprescindible tener una cámara en el auto. Tiene buena imagen y sonido , solo recomiendo a la marca liberar el almacenamiento web en México
