DC Unisex-Child Pure Elastic

We love DC Shoes for our 5yr old. DC shoes are the only shoes we've been able to find for him because he wears AFO braces. They are a wider shoe and his AFOs fit very nicely into the shoe with no real issues. The weight of a shoe is definitely something we take into account and this shoe is extremely lightweight and durable. They have elastic laces which is also very nice and makes getting ready a bit easier for us. The only problem we've come across is when we try to fit his AFO in, it gets caught on the elastic band holding the tongue down, but this is no real issues for us. These shoes last a very long time as well and we love all the colors available! We are a dedicated DC family!

Our 2 year old is almost impossible to buy shoes for. He has very wide feet and almost nothing fits. These do!!! And they are super cute. My only wish is that the "laces" were actual laces because sometimes, they do fall off. It would be nice to be able to tie them on securely. A minor annoyance when compared to the major annoyance of not being able to get most other shoes ON his feet to begin with. They are holding up well. Haven't had them long, but have already had to wash them twice (don't ask). Still good as new.

I love these shoes! I purchased these shoes in two different colors for my 2 year old son in a size 8. He had previously worn a size 7 in a pair of Nike tennis shoes, but just outgrew them. These shoes fit perfect! He did have a little trouble at first getting used to the more flat, bulky sole and tripped a lot, but it didn't take him very long to adjust. Also, they were pretty hard to slip on at first, but once we broke them in a bit they slipped on just fine (as long as he's not wearing thick socks.)

Really nice quality, my only complaint which I dont think much could be done about is, they used a type of foam on the soles (which is fine it keeps the weight down for little legs). The underside is black but the sides are white. Problem being that the White on the sides wears off or gets scuffed and shows the black underneath. Its a problem for any toddler but more so if they still crawl around, the toes of the soles will prob be noticeablely damaged after the first wear

This is my 2 1/2 year old's 'primary' pair of shoes right now.These were flimsy and break in and wear out much faster than my older daughter's Osiris shoes that we bought at the same time. Kids grow so fast at this age, so I expected her to outgrow them before they started to fall apart. There is definite wear on the soles, some stitching is starting to fray and break, and like a lot of other reviewers, we had to cut out the elastic 'laces' and replace them with real laces that tie. The shoes were just too loose to stay on her little feet. She did get lots of compliments on the bright colors and fun style, and she loves them, which is the main point. For older kids who grow a little slower, I definitely recommend going with a sturdier brand, even at a $10 price increase. Feet are the foundation of the body, and I'd rather sacrifice the money up front rather than spend it on a chiropractor when she's 5. Great for more short-term use, not great for daily use or more than a few months.

I love these shoes and they are not too hard to get on him but they do slip off sometimes when he runs. I need to get some laces for the top and I think that would help

Fits as pictured but my 3 year old trips on them quite often and therefor we have stopped using them. Do to their relaxed fit they are easy for her to slip on and off but they do not stay on well when she is running and they will fall off and trip her. While this may be acceptable for an adult to make a fashion statement it is not suited well for children who only care about playing.
