"A Stylish and Grippy Case"
I recently got the Speck iPhone 16 Pro Max Case in the CandyShell Grip design (Blue/Faded Denim) for my new phone, and it’s been a solid protector overall. This case promises a secure grip and decent drop protection for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it mostly delivers on that front.Quality and Build:The case feels well-made, with a dual-layer design that combines a hard outer shell with a softer inner lining for shock absorption. The Blue/Faded Denim color scheme looks sleek, and the textured grip strips on the sides add a nice tactile feel. It fits my iPhone 16 Pro Max snugly, with precise cutouts for the buttons, ports, and camera. The build quality is impressive, though the glossy finish does attract some fingerprints.Performance:The grip is the standout feature here—it’s easy to hold, even with one hand, thanks to the raised rubber strips. I’ve dropped my phone a couple of times from low heights (about 3 feet), and the case protected it without a scratch. The buttons are responsive, and the case adds just enough bulk to feel protective without being cumbersome. It’s been great for daily use, keeping my phone safe from scuffs and minor bumps.Value for Money:For the price, this Speck case is a good deal. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but you’re paying for a trusted brand with a solid track record for protection. If you’re looking for a stylish, grippy case for your iPhone 16 Pro Max, this offers great value compared to other premium cases.Overall:The Speck iPhone 16 Pro Max CandyShell Grip Case is a reliable, stylish choice for protecting my phone, with excellent grip and decent drop protection. The slickness is a minor annoyance, but it doesn’t overshadow the overall quality. I’m happy with its performance and design—5 stars for functionality and style!

Good case and works with ssd
I bought a portable Lexar pro ssd and hub that plugs into my phone(s) usb c port. I have a iPhone 16 pro max and a Samsung S25 Ultra. Most magsafe cases did not work with the Lexar ssd because the case was too thick.I had Speck cases on my old phones and they worked perfectly. So, I tried new Speck cases for both phones and the Lexar ssd and hub fit into the usb c perfectly. The idea was to add a ssd to the phone for large size images and videos. The ssd will not plug directly into the phone. You need a connector see photo.LEXAR supplies a couple u shaped usb c connectors that do plug right in.This allows the ssd and hub to fit flat on the back if the phone(s)

Best protection for my phones
I can't hold on to the thin cell phones. I bought my first one years ago and every phone in my family has one of these on them. It's not as thick as other cases, so it easily fits in my purses. It's protected my phone from drops. It's easy to hold with the grip marks. Usually I've had multiple color choices in prior phone, but for the iPhone 16 there were only 3. Maybe because it's a newer phone. But I got the color I like. Great for it's price. And does a good job

JUST DON’T
0 stars! (Amazon made me give it a star it doesn’t deserve.) This case is trash. Color changing piece of ****. I ordered white. Not white with various shades of blues and browns. Costumer service told me it was normal wear. Excuse me? I had it for less than a month. I didn’t return it because I thought I could clean it. Jokes on me, the material absorbs color!! It can’t be cleaned or scrubbed off. By the time I learned that lesson it was too late for a return or refund. I bought the case before it had any negative reviews. I would have NEVER wasted my money had I known.

Sadly, this may be the end of my love affair with Speck
I have loved Speck cases for years. I most loved my "black on white case" in this general design for my iPhone 11. It looked a little like a storm trooper. But I shop much more on features/protection and I really liked that my phone was extremely well protected, very safe and grippy.Sadly, although I finally upgraded my iPhone, this case is NOT the next logical progression. If you bought these for "grippy" / rubbery accents, look elsewhere. I understood the change to a flat back -- accessories attached & worked fine -- but I hoped the bumps on the edges were rubbery/grippy. They are NOT. The material (same everywhere) does *not* provide any satisfying grippiness. One of the previous reviews mentioned that the camera protection was only "partial" but I didn't get an answer on what that meant. Now that I've seen the case, I notice there is a review with a photo that shows the camera area is protected on three sides but NOT on the bottom side. The raised edge is tapered to nothing along this bottom edge. Ironically, it's this bottom edge that most concerns me since it's what would hit the table when you put your phone down. Check out the photo (black cover held up in the air). Weird, right?Although I valued the drop protection from Speck and loved the size and grippy accents. I ended up with an ESR Hybrid case (smooth but slightly gripper feel than some other cases) and a Torras ring with loop (I need a bit less grip if I have my finger in a loop). And tempered glass screen/camera lens protectors. Hope I chose well!LBNL, don't panic when you look at a case and see it is a frequently returned items. The space is so noisy and confusing, I ended up buying four different cases so, of course, three will go back!

Style changed, but …
I’ve always had a Speck case for my cell phones. I miss the rubber grips, but I’m getting used to the new style. The ridges on the side help with the grip. The white case is still white, with normal handling, after one month.

Great product
Good quality and sturdy. I ordered because of the ridges on sides that help you obtain a secure grip. Third one I purchased (for my other phones).

I wouldn’t return this item.
I don’t know why it says this item is frequently returned. This case was recommended by my son and I think it’s a great case. It’s looks good and easy to grip.
