When I took this dish out of the box I thought I had been ripped off...it looked like someone had sold me something that should have been thrown away or sold in the seconds bin. The edge was uneven, almost (I thought) like an amateur potter's first attempt! Then, as I looked at it, I realised that it was supposed to be like that...it was hand made and wasn't intended to look like a perfect mass-produced piece of precision machine fodder. If it did, it wouldn't have a unique feel to it. I started to really like it.I liked it even more after I roasted my first chicken in it.I don't think there's anything special about the dish in terms of cooking...the chicken tasted just about the same as usual...like chicken; but the dish was really easy to clean which is a major bonus in my book.Overall, I'm happy that I found what I was looking for: a single all-purpose roasting dish that can handle anything up to a large chicken (or a smaller one with veg etc) and is easy to clean.

I ordered this product as a Christmas gift for my niece . It arrived in a timely fashion and the roasting dish was as expected. The Portmeiron box in which the product was contained (not the shipping box) was badly damaged. I was embarrassed to pass on the gift in this condition. The damaged box will make the gift look like I have forwarded a product that was already used and regiftec.

It's very strong, pretty, and nice. It's even better because it can be used in a microwave oven and it's big, so it's a great product for salads and large-capacity foods. The packaging was very meticulous and neat, so I felt good.

I absolutely LOVE this dish. It is beautiful, well-designed, and so different from my other baking dishes. I like to place an assortment of shapes on the buffet table, and this is my first round baking dish. It has European flair, but its price is reasonable, and it is wonderfully non-stick. Even though it features (very attractive) shallow ridges, those ridges do not hang onto debris. My dish went right into the dishwasher and came out immaculate after I baked a crusty cheese gratin in it. I love that it is relatively shallow (2 1/2 inches deep) because high sides prevent a good crust from forming atop casseroles in my convection oven. I plan to buy more from this line.PS: if, like me, you have a relatively small microwave oven, then be aware that this round dish will probably fit into your oven for a quick reheat before serving – a nice bonus. Rectangular or oval dishes do not fit in mine.
