We have tons of hardcover and softcover kids books, but my 4 year old was having a hard time getting what she wanted or putting them away, because if a few were removed from the shelf, everything else would tip over. This made it difficult for her to lift them up and shove them to reinsert a book. So I got these dividers and crossed my fingers they would clamp to the shelf well and be a really sturdy metal to resist the weight of the large books. You can see from the before and after pics that it was total chaos. Two of these dividers per shelf (and let’s face it, some purging of books) really helped. I also got magazine boxes (the cardboard kind…not sure I’d recommend those quite yet) to separate the softcovers out and let the hardcovers breath a bit on the shelf. Came back for another couple sets of the dividers for other bookshelves and linen closet organization, I like them that much!

Very good and sturdy. Great look for the book shelf separating my kids folders and binders for school. It’s not flimsy and comes back pretty far on a standard shelf. Doesn’t fill the whole way back. Standard shelf to me is where I can stack books or movies in the front and back. Still this comes back far enough and hold on really solid. It doesn’t have any issues holding up. It also doesn’t take up too much real estate on the shelf. There’s no worry about not having enough room for everything.

This was a lucky choice for me as the height and depth works great in my closet. The steel frame is very snug and does not attempt to move or lean. The steel seems very sturdy. If if the paperish like fabric ever rips or wears out, the frames could easily be covered in something pretty to match decor!! I do however, wish I could find some adjustable in height for tall spaced shelving in my armoire. I'm confident these would still work great in certain spaces if designed with an option to extend upward (say, 4-5 inches) . I'm glad I went with this design, as I cant imagine any other type 'clip' holding on and maintaining upright grip as well as this one. I am glad they can be moved aroud and not stuck permanently. (5* pending time tried & true)

These are only 8.4” deep, thus they will only work well on a narrow shelf. They are okay on my shelf that is 12” deep as most clothes won’t fall behind the divider. On my 14” shelf, the clothes do not stay stacked neatly as they too easily fall behind the divider, thus the shelf divider does not fulfill its purpose of keeping items stacked neatly. Measure the depth of your shelf before buying to make sure there won’t be a big gap at the back of the shelf. In addition, these were difficult to snap onto my ½” shelf, and I am strong. I almost gave up but was able to slide the shelf divider on after some grunting, wiggling and pushing. Finally, the packaging was very difficult to open due to plastic ties that were tightly attached to all 4 corners of the shelf – very difficult to wedge in a knife, razor blade or pair of scissors to open it. One plastic tie at one corner would have been sufficient. Almost returned the item because I couldn’t open the packaging (and I am strong!). I did want to return 1 pair of the dividers that didn’t fit on my wider shelf, but didn’t want to pay the return shipping. Buy these only if you are 100% confident they will work on your shelf - or you will be stuck with them or will have to pay return shipping.

Like some other people I felt that the divider could have been longer but if you have wide 13 inch shelves this is perfect. It is very sturdy and attaches to the shelf very easily. This solved my 13 inch shelf issue but does not solve my 23 inch shelf issue, which I originally, and arguably without too much research, bought this for. You can say that stacked clothing under one foot in height can easily stay up by itself without a divider but it looks neat. Now if I could only find one that’s twice as tall, I’d be happy. I don’t want drawers.

Where to begin? I was so excited about these because let's face it like most adults my closet is a mess and this shed some light that I might be able to spruce it up. Nope. First off the packaging was terrible. The zip ties were on so tight I couldn't get them off and almost broke the darn thing tying to do it. In the end I scrapped the paint off the cheap metal and broke my scissors. So yeah. Than it didn't fit on my shelf that I'll own I didn't check the height. So I put it in my top shelf instead but it still didn't fit around the bottom part the latch was to small after some jimming I got it but it scrapped all the paint off the wood. All in all find something better unless you want broken scissors and chipped paint 🤷‍♀️👎

Excellent sturdy dividers. Using in closet to organize sweaters on the top shelf. Works perfect.

Don't go back far enough to be useful

Este separador para las roperías me encantó. No solo me sirve para separar las cosas y tenerlas ordenadas, sino que también me permite poner cosas altas y me las mantiene sin que se caigan, como bolsas o backpacks. Volvería a comprarlo y lo recomiendo mucho.
