I've also chewed ginseng root which is truly not an experience for the faint of heart. The higher concentrate means it is high potency. Ordinary liquid ginseng supplements are a lot easier to take because they contain much less ginseng extract. Over time you can get used to the intensity of the bitterness. You can add this to tea or other beverages. In the culinary world, you cut bitterness with fat. I add one pouch to hot water with honey and coconut oil (for the fat) and it makes it so much better. The mental clarity and boost to energy starts within half an hour for me. I find that I don't need to take this ginseng every day. Because it is pricey, I'm saving it for those times when I really need a boost, and thankfully I tend to feel it for a few days. I look at buying this product is an investment in my health. The high price is due to demand and the rarity of quality ginseng.
