Mini Cube Bookshelf Speakers 10cm, 200W Compact Stereo Speakers for Home Audio, Desktop, and TV, Clear Full-Range Sound, Pair (Black)

I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful these tiny speakers are, especially as they are so cheap. I have them wired up to a Denon CD Receiver in a smallish room with limited space, so these are the perfect solution.

Suits my purpose perfectly, decent sound small and effective.

Most Amateur radio transceivers have top mounted speakers which makes listening a struggle, Using an external speaker is often a good thing to aid listening. The Radio manufacturers of course make their own peripherals but often these are not of a suitable quality other than the matching aesthetic to suit the radio and often consist of very little more than a cheap speaker in a nice looking box for a premium price tag. The Pyle speakers offer good quality audio in a compact package that can sit alongside a radio and not look out of place. My radio has two outputs one for each receiver so I purchased a pair of these and they sit either side of the radio and work very well. They are typical mass produced plastic and are unlikely to stand up to much mishandling as the first one of a similar design but different manufacturer did not survive the journey and was broken on arrival. The Pyles however are giving good results and are pleasing on the ears. Note that Ham radio uses a limited band of audio frequencies and these speakers work very well in that range. I cannot vouch for their performance as "hifi" music speakers but based on their very compact size I would suggest that bass response will be a little limited. However, for casual listening to the non critical ear, they will sound fine. I have put BBC broadcast radio audio through them with acceptable results. Overall for my purposes they perform very well for a budget price.

These are not 200 watts! Barely any bass or sound compared to my other speakers.

these speakers are ideal for either small rooms or as surround sound speakers or as in my case places above floorstanding speakes to effectively double the db at the same level on volume control when used with horns and tweeters as well it means the volume can be kept down with the room still rocking at low level which is what i do. Absolutely excellent speakers and would highly recommend!! Five stars. N.B. If used on their own in a large room this effect would not work.
