I've never bought personal protection before (stop sniggering, I mean an alarm, not a prophylactic !). So I wasn't sure what to look for. I wanted one that I could recharge, so I didn't have to go hunting around for special CS145 (or whatever the other ones use) batteries, or for it to use AAA batteries that go flat too quickly.I also wanted one that I could attach to a rucksack, and would work if I yanked it off, but wasn't too easy to accidentally trigger.This one fits the bill perfectly. The little pull-tag is attached to the chain, and clicks into the main body really snugly. It takes a little force to pull them apart, but they go together again easily. The shape makes it easy to find the fit and re-connect. But the best part is that it doesn't come off /too/ easily.When you pull it apart, the thing makes an awful screeching alarm sound, and there's a little twinkly LED that flashes on and off.The noise of the thing is immense at close range, and left my ears ringing at arms length. If someone was attacking me, and I clapped this onto their ears, they'd be in serious (and I do mean SERIOUS) pain.The flashy LED might be nice for the night-time, but it all but useless in the day. In a darkened alley it would make it easier for people to spot where you are and come to your aid, though, so that's how I assumed you'd use it. I was surprised when it said it would "disorient" an attacker. mmmm.. maybe if you shoved it right in front of their eyes in a darkened alley, it'd blind them enough for you to insert your foot into their privates and give it toes...All in all, it's a great little device. Works well, makes a lot of noise, and charges quickly.

Not the easiest to use not the most practical

Really loud. Can be muffled with one hand, but then again if they’re one hand short that’s a massive advantage already. Put it up to their ear for damage even flex seal can’t fix.All you need to do is pull it out like a grenade to activate it and pop it back in to deactivate, nice and easy for accidents, not as easy for an assailant.Comes with two sturdy ways to attach to yourself or whichever item you are carrying, and the alarm itself is incredibly sturdy with a very nice-feeling exterior, almost like velvet. Beautiful colour and build.Highly recommended; I feel much more confident walking from work to the bus stop/home at night. Goes hand in hand with screaming and acting crazy to ward them off. Don’t be afraid of doing it, if you feel like you’re at risk, you must defend yourself by any means necessary.Better to look like a fool and be wrong, than to be shy and become another number or a gravestone.

handy size great for keeping on key ring or in pocket

I bought 2 of these, one for my daughter and one for myself. The alarm is loud with a great little flashing light. Will feel better knowing my daughter is carrying this with her at all times.

Good quality product, and decided to order this brand as recommended by other customers! Colour is lovely too. Awarded 4 stars and not 5 because I feel it is a bit too expensive compared to others available!

Feeling safe walking home alone

Makes me feel safer at night in the city. It's Super loud and alarming, strobe light is strong too. I also like that the pin doesn't accidentally come out, but isn't difficult to pull either.

This alarm is a great travel companion to help you feel safer!! Great for places you can’t take your pepper spray!! The battery lasts up to an entire year and is rechargeable, so you’ll never be in a situation where your battery isn’t working - which is different from a lot of the other brands. I bought one of these for each of the females in my family for peace of mind. It’s very easy to work and although I covered the speakers to test the sound, I could tell that it’s very loud. I would highly recommend getting one of these!!

Produit très léger et facile à avoir sur soi. Offert à ma fille, elle en est très contente et ne s'en sépare jamais. Emet un son vraiment puissant accompagné d'une lumière qui peut aider dans un endroit sombre. Merci !

Es reducido de tamaño, se puede colgar ya que viene con dos anclajes tipo llavero, el sonido de la sirena es súper potente y la luz también está muy bien. Recomiendo 100% comprarlo!! No lo dudéis!!! Tengo previsto comprar otro!!!
