The Horror Increases
This was the first expansion for the card game version that I bought after my cousin sent me the base game for my birthday. The scenarios are engaging and sometimes quite suspenseful. I like making the decision about starting at the college campus or in the speakeasy for the first scenario. The outcomes of those scenarios are felt in later adventures. The train trip with cars being sucked into the void, where you need to stop the train, but rescue innocent passengers is especially harrowing. I have played it several times, both as a solo adventure (playing two investigators) and with three other experienced AH: LCG players. We all like it a lot and have played the investigators that are part of this expansion. There are cards in this deck that are 'must haves' in my book: Charisma lets you have two active allies, and Relic Hunter lets you wear two amulets, which is especially important if you are playing Wendy or Tommy.
