This book is exactly what I expected. It depicts the grotesque paintings of the Masters. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the famous paintings of this nature. However, it might perhaps that the reader have a strong stomach!

Although it's nice to see these paintings collected in one book it is just that a collection put together. Details of paintings are shown but sometimes not the entire painting.

Totally wicked-cool!

Just what I was looking for. It would be cool if you could buy a version that was like the Necronomicon, all decked out, decorated, or even a hardback, done in black.

Great collection of paintings, although not as high quality as I expected. Delivered fast although small bend on the front page from packaging.

I was expecting more, not only just a book full of pictures, you see I am doing my thesis and I bought this book in order to study too, because these pictures they don't have the bibliography they deserve in history of art books so I was expecting more to read but it failed me completely. The only reason I didn't return it is that it's somehow everything is in here.

I loved it! You can almost smell the charred bodies from hell :D
