The Earth Machine Composter

Very easy to set up, snaps together. If it is a little warped from being boxed set it in the sun to warm up. Light and easy to move. Turn lock lid discourages doggy prospecting. It sits on the ground so worms will assist the process and you don't have to worry about over watering. Turning it is as simple and low tech as lifting it off your pile and setting back down next to the pile, then fork pile back into bin. The crumbly stuff at the bottom is ready to use. I particularly like being able to adjust airflow by turning the lid. Have not noticed any plastic degradation from our scorching summer sun in two years Would recommend but do price shop Bought locally for half the price.

this machine is great. the reason for the 3 stars is for the price. Btw, you can get this exact model at home depot for $99.

I have been composting with the Earth Machine for about 25 years. It is excellent and extremely simple. You do have to use a compost tool to aerate it, but that's not difficult. I also added red compost worms to it about 20 years ago and they're very happy inside turning my kitchen waste into black gold. I highly recommend the Earth Machine, but I agree with the previous commenter who says this is way overpriced.
