Worked as advertised
The wheels vary, but it did the job. Having a variable polisher makes a difference

A lot of grits.
My qualifications for this review are that I carve various rocks into simple shapes—like squares. I've been polishing my carvings with hand drill risen diamond polishing pads. That's what I'm comparing these pads to.After setting up my bench grinder to use these pads, I did a run with a bunch of rocks using all the grits. In that bunch there was glass, moss agate, lace agate, and two other types of rocks that I have not identified.Honestly, 15 grits is a lot to go through. Probably too much. You'd probably be fine skipping every other. However, the main problem I was having with the hand drill sets, is getting the grooves from the electroplated diamond grinding passes polished out. Without going into much detail, this new set is able to polish out the rough face left from an 80 grit electroplated disc. That's something that was totally impossible with my older sets. I needed to go up to 600 grit, and even then it was easy for me to miss spots. These pads make things much easier by not needing to be wet. They'll probably ware out faster if ran dry, but I don't worry as much when the water runs out on the current face.Of all those rocks I did, the agates came out the best. I learned a few things while doing this, so the next rock I do should be better. Either way, I'm not worried about being able to make them all into total mirror polishes now. That's going to be easy. The agates and glass are mostly already there. I think I know what I did wrong on the other rocks. Some things to keep in mind. Even though the lowest grit in the set is 30, it won't do a good job of carving bumps out or leveling a surface flat. You should use hard diamonds grinders for that. These have a nice thick coating. It should last quite a long time—More if you can use it wet, and even more if you don't use every grit each time. I wouldn't be surprised if the Velcro back dies first. For the price, I think these are a really good deal.I think my only complaint is that some of the pads feel more flat than others. That could be from me putting them on inconsistently though.

Arrived on time
Not had time to try them all, but the ine use in concrete, just to buff off some imperfection did a marginal job and it is almost gone. Perhaps not goofs for this application but sine it doesn't cone with any instructions of possible applications, it might not be recommended for abrasive tough surfaces. Should include in packages where it may be used.

watch your speed
The listing says maximum RMP of 5000, my grinder is over that, even the small 12v grinder low setting is 10,000 rpm so out of caution I did not use a grinder as they have pictured. I used a cordless drill with a speed of 2000 rpm which I felt more safe using. These pads are small (4") so it was no issue and the drill did not bog down and was easy to control. Its nice that you can feather the speed to get good control. The wide range of grits were useful for work your way up to get a smooth finish. knocked out scratches and irregularities much faster then trying to hand polish the surface. This would be good for small touch ups, don't know about a large surface as it would take a long time for for small repairs and touchups it worked great. can't beat the price, for what you're getting. Don't know how long it will last for for small one off jobs this is a good set.

Hands down the best pads you can get
Ive been using the cheap scotch like pads for years. These things are a total game changer. Has all the grits and they just work without wearing out in a few minutes. In fact ive been using them regularly for a month now and none of them have worn out. Just get them.

Excellent Quality
I own a stone restoration company, so resin pads are a necessity. We attach these to the polishers and use them to hone natural stone surfaces. They work wonderfully on everything from travertine to marble countertops. Great quality and reliable.

LASTING VALUE
The backing head for this set is massive and robust, and not particulary flexible. That's all good. These polishing disks, each clearly marked and color coded with its grit size, are made to be used almost like a grinding wheel. Running the abrasive against a convex or flat surface allows excellent material removal and polishing. The Velcro attachment surfaces are strong and positive.I prefer to clamp my hand-held, variable-speed polisher firmly in a vise and run the work part against the surface. That allows me to precisely control the location and force applied. Since most of my machine work these days is adjuct to restoring antique tools and instruments, mistakes are not allowed. These pads are ideal. I think they will last for a very long time since I prefer to not clog them with paint or wood resins. 5 Stars...well deserved.
