Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT Solar Charge Controller 100V 50A 12/24V - Bluetooth Solar Controller for Caravan, Motorhome, Boat and Off-Grid Systems

These a a great bit of kit, I've got 2 solar strings into two of these chargers connected to 2x 24volt battery banks in parallel. They network together via Bluetooth and act as one charger 100amp charger... You can bring up the charging data along with the past data via the Bluetooth on your phone to check how they're performing... So glad I bought these, they are quality.

This is very good and working well ,but not for me as I am putting more solar panel , buying a hybrid inveter with charger . It is excellent for small set up .

It’s a brilliant bit of kit! It charges battery’s and easy to set up, iv recently upgraded from a generic not mppt solar charger and it was not stopping charging at 100% giving me voltage problems and it would charge slowly. This on the other hand, iv hooked it up put the setting of the battery In and it just works! No voltage problems and charging faster than the old one! My advice is to spend the money! You get what you pay for!!!

What more can i say , It`s one, if not the BEST solar charge controller out on the market for the home consumer that you can currently buy. It can take a maximum Solar Input of 50A at 100 Volt. Its Maximum output is 50A at 12/24V. This Victron controller has an inbuilt bluetooth capability built in it. What that means is, you download the Victron App (Google Play/iPhone Store) and install it on your Mobile phone. You turn on Bluetooth on your mobile and then search for your controller while very close to it. Theirs a CODE on the side of the Controller that you will need to be able to connect to it, as its used as the password while connecting to it. When you connect to it, you can change settings, like maximum charge input in AMPS. It will store all data on how much solar energy its collected, etc. It has a maximum effect range of 15-20 Feet, dont believe what the documents say. This is one of the best, controllers out their in the world for the consumer. !!! You get what you pay for !!! Spend a little more and buy the best , rather than the cheapest, to which you`ll have to replace earlier than this solar charge controller.

What can I say? It’s a Victron, so it just works exactly as intended. Easy to set up thanks to the brilliant Bluetooth interface. Easy to get data into Home Assistant as well, although you cant control the device or change any settings anywhere other than in the Victron app.

A few years ago I bought a complete 24v off grid kit from a provider of end-to-end solutions. This for an off grid office I use as my daily workplace. The kit included a different brand of charge controller. Hell, I've been tinkering with that MPPT for years always suspecting something is just not correct. Finally I thought I'd try this Victron CC and it has made an amazing difference. Mainly it keeps the batteries in better health. For the saving of my anxiety of battery state alone it's well worth the extra £50 of the origanl. In terms of how the Victron is better at managing the battery bank it's probably going to save me hundreds, if not thousands! I've done so much research and I cannot find another MPPT that comes close to Victron's ability. It's small, build quality is excellent, setup is simple with the Victron app. I'm now a total convert to this brand.

Victron are great solar battery mppt chargers, this is my second. The first has not missed a beat for years. Hopefully this is as reliable too. I am using the first a 100/20 with a lead acid, this 100/50 with a lithium. Whilst the 100/20 has a built in output to turn the load on and off, the 100/50 does not, so I have had to purchase a victron smart battery protect too, which is great, but makes the combination quite expensive then. But I would recommend given the complete range. The Bluetooth app is also good and very informative. I was surprised by the size difference between the 100/20 and the 100/50, so check the dimensions if space is tight.

Ich habe mir eine kleine Solaranlage aufgebaut und mich für den Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 entschieden. Mein Ziel war es, ein hochwertiges Gerät zu haben, das die Batterie ordentlich lädt und so ihre Lebensdauer verlängert. Freunde von mir nutzen diese günstigen chinesischen PWM-Regler – der Unterschied zu meinem Victron ist einfach gewaltig und gar nicht zu vergleichen. Das Gerät ist massiv, schwer und man merkt schon an der Verarbeitung, dass das kein Spielzeug ist. Was mich am meisten begeistert hat, ist das integrierte Bluetooth. Über die VictronConnect App sehe ich in Echtzeit alles: den aktuellen Ertrag, die Batteriespannung und die Historie der letzten 30 Tage. Die Koppelung über Bluetooth hat völlig problemlos funktioniert. Man braucht nur den PIN für die Verbindung, der beim Gerät dabei war. Es wurden zwei Aufkleber mit dem PIN mitgeliefert – einen habe ich direkt auf das Gerät geklebt und den anderen für meine Unterlagen mit nach Hause genommen. Auch die Installation der Kabel war super: Ein 16 mm² Kabel passt problemlos unter die Anschlussschrauben und man kann alles richtig fest anziehen. Die MPPT-Technologie ist erstklassig. Ich habe gemerkt, dass er selbst bei bewölktem Himmel oder tiefstehender Sonne noch Strom rausholt. Ich nutze ihn in einem 12V-System und er wird absolut nicht heiß. Das Gehäuse aus hochwertigem Kunststoff und Aluminium leitet die Wärme top ab. Außerdem kann er tiefentladene Batterien wieder "aufwecken", was die meisten anderen Regler nicht schaffen. Fazit: Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Wer ein kleines Solarsystem aufbaut und seine Ruhe haben will, sollte zu Victron greifen. Er ist teurer, aber wegen der Sicherheit und der Bluetooth-Funktionen lohnt sich die Investition definitiv. Bewertung: 5/5

This controller is a game changer. It works flawlessly and is loaded with custom features as well as a large array of default battery options. I also bought the victron battery temp and voltage sensor since my batteries are on the ground subject to different temperatures than my controller mounted inside my rv. The Bluetooth works excellent and you can see real time operation as well as historical info.
