I had been looking for a benchtop band saw for some time and saw these. So far this is an Excellent band saw. With all the features (variable speed control, auto stop, etc) and the base being solid with wheels it's far and above anything else in this category that I looked at. Everything else seemed to have a flimsy stamped steel base. So far this is cutting great through steel and aluminum stock. Only improvement I can see right now is the protractor for setting an angled cut... it's fine if you want "somewhere in the neighborhood of angle XX degrees". If you want to save stock when making angle cuts, you still have to resort to angle blocks or other method for setting the fence and stock. That's a minor thing as none of the others I looked at did any better. But if improved on the next model would send them another leap above the crowd.

After looking across a bunch of these power benchtop bandsaws, I chose this one because it has a very sturdy pivot. A lot of the other choices only had a brace for the pivot on one side. This unit seems a lot more capable of keeping cuts straight. I received the unit well packed and proceeded to set it up. The instructions are practically useless, but if you're buying this kind of tool, you're probably able to figure it out on your own. The operation is a little awkward, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that difficult. One last thing I have to mention is the auto-shutoff doesn't work right now. I'm sure I have to make an adjustment, but for now I just depress the trigger to unlock the trigger and stop the motor. On the positive side, once you get the bed squared - don't assume it's squared when you receive it - it cuts like a dream. I mostly cut 5/8" and 1/2" steel and aluminum rod. It give me a nice square cut and a very nice cut quality. Pretty amazing actually. The cut quality and durability of this unit pulls 4 stars. The poor instructions and the non-working auto shutoff takes away a star. Overall, I'm very pleased with the tool and will follow up if anything changes, but for now it's a pretty good deal.

this saw is great-cut reasonably fast -cuts straight-lots of power-I have had occasion to cut 1" solid round bar stock, 2 ' square tubing and lost of angle iron-handled everything well-nice to set it cutting and then do something else in the shop-the flip up screw works well and makes large size changes easy & fast.Over all like the saw

I am stunned by how great a saw this is. I can't see why anyone would leave a negative review. The features of this saw are fantastic. It is of high quality construction, has plenty of power, and cuts square both vertically and horizontally. I didn't buy the version with the vertical saw table because I plan to make one myself but it locks into a vertical position for cutting upright. It also has an LED work light, a strong cast aluminum base, and an AUTOMATIC shutoff! Yes, the saw shuts off at the end of the cut. I am so glad I didn't let the poor reviews sway me. This saw clicked all my boxes and goes way beyond with its many features. Take a look at the smooth finish on the cuts in my photos. I am coming from one of the ubiquitous 4 x 6 roll around metal bandsaws and have put up with years of rough cuts. This saw is going to really be a pleasure to use.

A little loud but cuts all shapes of metals. My favorite feature is automatic shuts off when finished cutting. A great bandsaw to have in your shop

This brand has some serious quality control problems. The first two saws showed up with parts missing and the 3rd had a blade pulley so out of round that the entire upper frame would flex! Not sure if I want to give them a 4th try... I think I lost enough time on projects with this one.

Pros: 1) It is set up electrically to operate as a hands free "set it and walk away while cutting" type of machine 1b) It shuts itself off when it's done cutting 2) It has really good ball bearing blade guides 3) It pulls the chips towards the fixed fence, not the clamp unlike most other saws like this 4) It has an adjustable spring for the pressure the saw exerts on the blade while cutting - again aiding in the hands free cutting 5) The base is die cast aluminum. While it is fairly thin, it is sturdy, rigid and not the cheap stamped steel that most if not all of the other saws like this come with. 6) The pivot for the saw (incorporated into the cast aluminum base) is very tight. Meaning, it has zero play side to side. After dialing in the blade guides to make square cuts, I performed many test cuts on round and square tubing with consistent results. Cons: 1) Out of the box it cuts way out of square (more like 80-85 degrees) in the Z axis and there is no adjustment to correct this. I was able to modify the blade guides to have adjustment and made it cut perfect. It is unfortunate that the average person buying this unit will not be able to make square cuts in the Z axis 2) Problem with the adjustable fence: When cutting any angle other than a 90, the fence moves and you lose your angle setting. I tried tightening down the fence almost to the point of stripping the fasteners and the clamp screw still easily overcomes the fence clamp bolts and the fence moves. I was able to modify the fence mounting system to work for me however it is unfortunate that out of the box this does not work effectively. Other than the two Cons mentioned, this unit is the best one I could find for the price range and actually has features that more expensive units don't have, primarily the electrical features that allow it to shine as a "chop saw" style porta band.

There are plenty of other portable band saws out there that have been mounted onto a chop saw base. This one is in a different league. The saw is very high quality with plenty of torque to drive the blade. It has auto shutoff integrated into it that some others do not have. The base is an aluminum casting of high quality. Overall, a well thought out tool that has been manufactured with attention to detail. I like it so much that I'm considering buying a cheap saw for hand held use, and leaving this one as it is! I would buy this one again if I needed to!

Es muy sólida, robusta, estable, la velocidad variable es una delicia, el paro automático es de gran ayuda, compre otras sierras de repuesto mk morse y no las he utilizado, normalmente no uso los consumibles con los que vienen las herramientas (sierra de mesa, ingletadora, sierra circular, sensitiva) la sierra con la que viene es de muy buena calidad, llevo varios proyectos de cortes precisos y la sierra como si nada, es silenciosa y no mancha las paredes con proyecciones como las sensitivas. No la he usado sin la base pero no la compre para eso, la tengo en una estación de corte, no me guío con la escala para calibrar el ángulo de corte, recomiendo calibrarla con un par de escuadras de calidad. En fin una vez que pruebas un equipo como este no hay manera de que vuelvas a la sensitiva de disco abrasivo por presicion-rapidez-bondades como la vel. variable y el paro automático-bajo nivel de ruido etc Totalmente recomendada!

Absolutely fabulous product. Very well built and easy to operate. The only upgradr I will do is have the vise closer to the blade for cutting smaller stock

For the price, it would be hard to beat this band saw. I love that it can lock in the vertical position and used similar to a dedicated vertical band saw. I say similar because it not as accurate as a dedicated vertical saw (which would have a fence and adjustable throat). The horizontal saw works well (again for the price). I cut some parts at 90 and 45 degrees. I tried a similar budget horizontal band saw and this one is 10 times better and safer. I like the clamp, adjustable spring force and auto shut off. Changing the angle of the clamp requires some patience. Also the "arm" has a little bit of play side to side. Totally acceptable considering the price. The rolling wheels are a nice bonus. I have not tried this hand held yet, but I did remove/install the saw from the base with no problems. My auto shut off switch arrived broken, from shipping. The seller returned my email super quick (on the weekend no less) and was supper helpful. They sent me a replace part and emailed a install video. Recommend.

Esta máquina de corte salió muy defectuosa estos días que empese a utilizarla me di cuenta del defecto que tiene se sale la cinta de corte cuando estamos cortando el material. Y por último se rompio la cinta de corte.

This saw so far works really well. If it lasts it will be worth the price
