Usborne Young Reading Series Collection 40 Books Box Set-Read At Home Paperback – 1 Jan. 1890

My Daughter is 7yr old and she is thoroughly enjoying the books . We bought some of them as a different set in the past but this one is very good and a complete set so they will be useful to introduce children to reading from a young age . My friends teenage children also enjoy these 'bite sized' books as a good car read . So a definite buy I would say for any family with a child(ren).

Excellent standard, lovely illustrations and page layouts. A must have for anyone with avid 5+ year old readers in the house. Colour coded for difficulty level.

The books represent fantastic value as they are really engrossing to children whose reading skills improve continually. Highly recommended.

only problem was a few inappropriate choices for titles in the top level (blue) - Macbeth for example. Most children needing this set would be aged 6-9 and Macbeth is very violent and the ideas are above a junior school aged child's understanding.

Fantastic set of books that have engaged my children at bedtime! They even enjoyed a little Shakespeare.
