Loved the first couple boxes, most recent one is defective?
We've been using these to line our compost bucket for a long time. Love the easy clean-up and they truly decompose in my home compost pile with little to no care/turning. However, the most recent batch are tearing super easily and are not working at all. When I separate the bags from each other they are regularly ripping both bags. I loved the first couple boxes so it is extra frustrating to have this problem now.

Works good for my bin
It leaks, but that’s what the bin is for. Why do you expect after putting sharp scraps into the bag. Helps keep my compost bin cleaner between washes.

Good solid choice. Doesn't break easily
Generally use one bag a week inside our can before taking it out. I don't think I'd go much longer as it does seem to start to deteriorate a bit. But they've been very solid and wet continue to buy them because of it.

Great functional bags
They work perfectly well -- a bit of a leak once in a while is normal since wet stuff goes in a lot. I put spent brewing grains in and it can hold quite a lot of weight, I was impressed. Totally happy with the product!

Bad batch
The last batch I purchased included bags that tear and come apart easily without being used and have to be thrown away. Haven't had this problem before, and previously purchased bags have been very sturdy with no problems at all.

I feel better using these and not adding more plastic bag waste to our earth.
Ive been trying to be more conscientious about my habits and conscious about ways that I am contributing to environmental issues with waste. Although my apartment provides free poop bags, they are not biodegradable. I did research on truly biodegradable bags and these seemed to fit the bill. I feel better knowing that Im no longer adding two plastic poop bags each day to our landfill.I was worried the bags might be too thin or not to my liking but so far no issues (I have a pug). The seller provided this information in an email which some may find helpful in sifting through information about truly biodegradable bags:Hello, On Amazon if we search "biodegradable dog poop bags",the top ranking best seller is the “earth rated ”,and some other brands claiming oxo-biodegradable,containing EPI as additives for biodegradable. They are very hot selling indeed. But academically and the reality is,those bags are fake eco-friendly bags. They use 1% additives to mix with plastic and help the bags break down into tiny pieces. It makes the plastic even harder to recycle, and the tiny pieces of plastic become more dangerous for animals and earth. Tiny plastics gos into animals stomach and blood, causing diseases. The additives contain heavy metal ingridents and harmful to the earth. Many people don't know it's fake eco-friendly. As a professional sales director who has been in the biodegradable bags industry for more than 10 years,I feel so hurt to see the situation. Let's stop buying the so called "biodegradable bags" which containes plastic but use additives to help break down ! For saving the environment for our future and our kids,we need to learn how to identity whether the bags are real eco-friendly or not. EcoPettie dog poop bags are made of corn starch, totally organic. You can trust us and use them. Hope you could make a review for sharing your using experience. For more people to recognize the real eco-friendly bags. OK ? Thank you in advance. Yours Sincerely

Great for food waste
I love these bags for the food waste bin in the kitchen and also for cleaning fish and game. They are pretty thin and rip easily. You have to be careful when separating the bag from the roll so you don't rip the bottom of the bag. You also have to be careful if putting anything somewhat hot into these bags. I melted a hole in one surprisingly easily.

Very compostable.
I have been composting for a while now and I use these. They are VERY compostable, which is great for a compostable bag. If you use it for compost, make sure you double it. Unless you use enough produce to use a full bag per day (that would be a lot of produce), then you will use this to put your compostable organic material over the period of a few days. We are a family of 3 and typically I use one bag per 1.5 week. By the time the bag is ready to be closed, however, it typically has started composting the bottom. Meaning, the bottom has started to disintegrate. Great composting, however, not so great when all your content spills in your compost bin. To remedy this, I have put one bag as a liner, one compostable napkin to catch the nasty compost juice that starts forming after a week, and then another bag with another compostable napkin at the bottom. Generally, I can simply remove the one bag, but if I have had a lot of produce, and the problem described above starts happening, then I take out both bags. I have tried other bags that don’t compost so fast, but I actually prefer these. I also use them for grocery shopping in supermarket to take the produce. I then reuse them over and over until they can’t be used anymore...
