Purchased : Nov 2018Reviewed : Mar 2019I wanted to decorate my house with lights for Christmas and New Year. My house does not has any electrical socket outside the external walls. It does mean that if I go for the fancy lights powered by electricity then I have to open the window to pass the wire from outside to inside for electrical connection. It means that the cold air (in December) can easily skip into our house. Or I have to drill a hole in the wall or window or door to pass the wire inside. I did not want this option because unnecessarily it will hamper the looks of the house. So I took the decision of buying solar fancy light hence I bought this light. It gets powered by solar energy during the day and glows in the dark. It has got the sensors which switches off the lights when the natural daylight is there. The moment dark kicks in, these starts glowing. It has got different modes of the ways the light dances. I chose one of the modes and put the lights outside the house. Fortunately, it was a sunny day. Whole day the light receptor device got charged by solar light. Then at night the lights got turned on automatically. The lights danced whole night till the next morning when they got switched off automatically by the morning daylight. Very impressed. Over the period of time, it drizzled, rained heavily but the lights still worked very well. Hence, no bills, no electrical connection, no diy etc.But on the downside, the lights are not as bright as their electrical lights counterpart. Also, for two days there was not sunlight at all. That means we did not had any lights for two continuous nights. It is fully solar light dependent. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars to it rather than 5 stars.I had bought similar lights with different colours. Same review and star rating for them as well.

I was offered to try these for free so i feel its only fair to give an honest (as always) review.Lights came nicely packaged which included the lights, solar unit, some paerwork, ground spike and mounting rod to attach the solar unit to the spike.The lights are nice quality with the actual length of the actual lights being around 3m long with extra wire and the solar box on the end. The lights are smaller than i expected, about the size of a 2p coin each. Assuming the lights were low on charge when i receieved them they only had a few hours of sunlight left to charge but they were still going at around 5am this morning so very impressed. They give off a gentle light, similar to candlelight in brightness so good for ambient lighting but thats what i wanted them for. All in all they seem good quality although a little pricey perhaps for some solar lights. Hopefully the cost will show over time with a durable product.

Lovely lights, nice and bright.HOWEVER, I had to return the item as they were FAR shorter than described. They are advertised as 4.5M length and there was a question answered by a previous buyer stating around 4M from 1st bulb to last bulb. The set I received were just 2.7M from 1st bulb to last bulb!!The description of the item needs to be updated and the measurements made very clear.

Lovely pretty brights lights. Although smaller than expected. The only issue I have with these is the controls. There is no way to see if you’ve switched them on or not or if they are charging during the day. You have to wait until it’s dark to find out. Would be helpful if they was a separate “solar charge button” to know you’ve switched them on to charge. Awkward instructions with bad English too.

These look lovely in our garden, we have them wrapped around the trunk of our cordyline tree. I prefer static to flashing and they stay on for a good 6 hours at least after dusk.EDIT: I wrote that review 9 months ago at the end of May 2020. Noticed around Christmas time that they were no longer working. Purchased appropriate new battery and it is obvious that the panel is not charging anymore. Disappointed as they did look nice but I would have expected them to last.

They only light up for a roughly 2 hours once it gets dark but that’s enough time for my kids to appreciate the pretty coloured lights before they go to bed which was why I purchased these ones.

Absolutely rubbish, do not buy, they do not go off in daylight and hence can not get enough charge to light up for more than hour in the dusk, I have taken the batteries out my self twice and charged them, but should not need to happen, pay cheap, get nasty cheap

I originally bought two sets of these lights over two transactions. One barely lit up at all and the other failed completely within a week. I fed this back to the seller who immediately apologised & sent me one set of replacement lights... they were exactly what I had hoped for, and have remained well charged and well lit at night. Sadly, I still remain disappointed in the first two sets, but I applaud the good customer service I received when I raised the issue.
