Q: Can you turn the lights off?

What lights? Never seen any. Don't buy this product it's absolutely rubbish. Bad reception and aerial has come off. I wish I never bought it.

No it does not have a remote control

Q: Does this model come with a standard UK 3 prong plug?

No mine didn’t it had a 2 pin plug so I contacted customer services who have said all I can do is return it. I bought from Amazon with confidence having read this review but the equipment has a two pin plug
