Very nice and tidy and clean felt feel, same feel on both sides (no backing) , no scent, about a quarter inch in thickness, and I measured the short side & it's 5 feet on the dot :) Perfect!! Great for some padded softness without lifting your rug a dramatic degree, flat weave rugs can stay looking relatively flat & low profile, but more comfortable to walk on =)

While this rug provides some padding, it is thinner than I expectected. In addition it is not a "no skid" pad -- it slides very easily. Both surfaces are the same -- there is no gripping material on either side. It would be fine for adding a bit more padding on top of an existing non skid pad but I do not recommend this for use if you need a non skid pad.

It IS a bit thinner than I expected, as the pictures made it look thicker, but it’ll do the job. If you have a thin rug to begin with, I’d go for something more padded than this, but if price is a factor, or you’re in a pinch, this will work. I’ve seen quite a number of similar pads for higher, so this is a good value.
