Q: Can these cannisters be refilled?

No - the canisters are sealed. Refilling is not necessary. You can reuse over and over after drying the desiccant by baking in your oven for 3-4 hours @ 300 degrees F. Instructions are printed on the canister.

Q: Are these safe to use in a safe with precious metals (gold, silver, etc)?

Yes, also can be used for gun safe, main function is that to keep safe dry.

Q: How long does a canister last?

It depends on the amount of moisture in your gun safe or tool box,at the same time, space size is also a factor. Anyway, the viewing screen is so big, can easy show the color of beads inside, just put it in oven if turns to green. I tried last week, 3 hours recharing 3 cans, all are orange again. Hope can help you.

No need, I tried several times at 300 F, There's no sign of deformation.
