Breville Zen 4 Slice Toaster with High Lift & Wide Slots | Cream & Silver Chrome [VTR028]

After lots of research, glad I purchased this. It is efficient, quick toasting and evenly toasted. Size is great for different sizes of bread Quality well made Lovely colour Easy to clean as it's plastic with metal bits.

This is a very efficient toaster and easy to use. The toast comes out evenly browned. It looks good, as well.

Good toaster. Fast and efficient at that price point (around £40). Good looking. Had to refer to Breville customer support at one point but they were really helpful, so no complaints.

Bought this 4 slice toaster due to our other biting the dust. This one is very stylish and does toast very evenly. It has the usual toast...warm... and defrost buttons.. what I liked was you can lift the toast up with the push down lever to see how it's doing.. It's very well made and a great neutral colour..cheers

I purchased the Breville Zen 4 Slice Toaster at an offer price of £36.98 but now I see it is on Amazon for the full price of £73.06. This review is based on the former price so there is no way I would pay more than £40 knowing what I know now. It does look nice and I'm pleased it has separate controls for each pair of slots. However, the build quality feels quite cheap to me and lowering and raising a thicker slice of bread poses a problem as the wire grid guides pinch too early on the way down leaving the bread slice a little higher than it should be and when ejecting the bread slice catches on the guide. The browning knob offers settings of 1 to 6 but even on setting 6 the toast is not golden brown enough for me and the slice is not evenly browned even on setting 6 (the slice has alternate stripes of toasted and warm bread).....but look on the bright side, it appears the toaster is incapable of burning your toast. In summary, I certainly would not recommend paying over £70 for this toaster but for the £36 I paid I can live with the shortcopmings but that opinion might change if the build quality is as cheap as I think it is and as a consequence it doesn't last long but you will definitely hear about it in an update if it does.

This is a reasonably priced sturdy toaster that delivers the goods - in this case toast! It is nice looking & compact for a 4 slice toaster. Lovely pattern. You can make the toast very light brown to very toasted. It works well in a family who like their toast certain ways.

This toaster had to be returned as it started blowing fuses less than 6 weeks after purchase, returned to Amazon.ie but very slow to update the return on their side and impossible to make contact with them.
