If you are wanting to use this for anything other than a litter containment area for your cat, it probably will be a bit disappointing. I certainly wouldn't leave my cat locked in here if necessary, at least not somewhere where I'd worry about them getting out. The zippers and mesh part all seem somewhat cheap and flimsy, but do work fine if you just need a litter enclosure. There is a round zippered front that seems to be able to connect to similar pop up enclosures, and then a side zipper. This whole thing feels like a pop up laundry holder, if positioned standing up, and I may use it that way when not traveling with my cat. It is all pretty easy to clean and a little hard to get back in to the circular shape it arrives in. Comes with storage pouch and ground stakes. A good size overall, and should easily hold the average litter box. Plenty of room for a couple cats if not putting litter in there.

I was so excited when I found this litter box enclosure; I had no idea these were a thing. I could not wait for it to arrive. Check the before pic…perhaps that will give you a clue why.I have a dog who LOVES to eat poop, any poop, any animal, and I also found out to my dismay that she likes to eat natural kitty litter, the stuff made out of corn. With dogs, it’s either training or management with most issues, so we worked on the training, but also, the management…I made the wire cage to fit over the litter box. Ugly, but worked (notice I even put a handle on the top for lifting it off the box). No more litter or cat poop eating, at least, not inside from the litter box.So there I was with great hopes and anticipation, waiting for this cover thing to arrive. Let me tell you what…it’s not often that one’s expectations and hopes are exceeded, but this item does that like you wouldn’t believe!When I first opened the box, I was a bit concerned…see the pic with the carrying case? See the ruler next to it? It’s tiny! I was concerned that it would never accommodate my litter box. OK then…opened the package, took the item out of the carrying case, and WHOMP!, it was one of those expando things that pops up into place! (I have a sunscreen for my car that does this, but I can never fold it back properly…sigh.). Instant, roomy, beautiful. Since I don’t travel with my kitty (she hates the car), I doubt I’ll have much need to repack it, but I’m sure there are videos that show how to do it, or you may very well be better at this technique than I…if you do need to pack it up, the case is nice, well made, and nice zipper. Also comes with some stakes, in case you want to stake it down when outside.OK, so the actual litter box cover…As I said, my expectations were exceeded by a mile! What a nice thing, as how often does that happen?It is tremendously well made, solid, square. To say it’s easy to set up implies you have to do something to set it up, rather than just take it out of the case. All the zippers are good and seem like they’ll last (I have a thing about zippers…they can make me nuts when they get stuck on fabric, or split the closure so it never closes properly again…Grrrrr). It’s roomy enough for a large box…mind is a medium size, and it fits so that there is space in front of it, where I hope the litter will come off her feet rather than being tracked into the room.I LOVE the colors of the trim and that the rest of it is black. Just gorgeous. Then, the screens…so many screens…so it will breathe well, and I can easily see if I need to attend to the box. The top opens up, zip!, which will make getting the litter box in and out easy, but in my house, will have to remain closed for you-know-who to keep her cotton picking, poop eating head out of there.It is lightweight, easy to lift and move around. Did I say the colors of the trim are gorgeous? I look at it lovingly every time I’m in that room (I know I sound ridiculoso, but honest to Pete, I truly love this thing and am happy the quality is so amazing).If you need something like this, do not hesitate…buy it already! The value for the quality and functionality is just outstanding.OK then, back to your regularly scheduled program wit’chu…

Easy and fast to use. It pops open in one second. Perfect. Super happy. We are not currently using this for kitty litter as it doubles as or works well as a pet tent, just add a bed and it’s perfect. Our miniature dachshunds enjoy playing inside of tents. The tent can be used like a crate, it can give your pet, a permanent safe place to go. A routine, which is important and provides them some comfort when we are not home. Would have loved to have found this years ago when we had a cat. There is plenty of ventilation for kitty litter and it will contain the litter spills. Functional. Easy. Easy to clean. Space saving. Portable. Super versatile. Would definitely highly recommend this awesome covered kitty litter tent. First of all, this thing is massive! I would suggest it would be for an XL box, which we used because we had two cats. Since ordering, one cat has crossed the rainbow bridge so we are actually downgrading the size of our litter box. When I unfolded it there was much excitement from Gabby. She immediately jumped into it, even before it could be sat upright properly. Because of its size, we decided it would not work as a litter box cover. We wanted it for our laundry room area but it was just too large and overwhelming for her smaller box. No matter as it has become a fun play house for our kitty and she thinks it’s now her “secret” hideout. After opening the top, she was even more excited that she could jump in from the top. A fuzzy throw inside and its her new snuggle place. So she said “can we keep it, mom?” and of course…she gets everything she wants. I can see how this would be perfect for its intended use. But this one is Gabby's Playhouse!

I already have a litter box enclosure that I'd ordered awhile back and our rescue kitty loves it (and so do I!). She seems to think that hiding to do her business is extremely cool, and since she likes to share her litter with her surroundings I love that it keeps it contained.We recently brought in another rescue and he's even worse than she is so we added an extra large enclosed box and this enclosure for a third box. Adding a small litter mat inside, and outside at the doorway keeps any litter from being tracked through the house. Unzipping the top makes cleaning/scooping easy as well. For the price ($19.99 at time of review) this is indispensable for containing cat litter messes.
