Hi. Thanks for your question. Yes - this alarm does require a landline. If you do not have one then you would need to get one. If you don't have a landline then you could also look at our range of 'no landline' alarms. Please search the Amazon website for SureSafeGO 2 Anywhere alarms and SureSafe iSOS alarms. If the power goes off does the base alert you when the power cuts or goes back on.... ?

Hi. Thanks for your question. No, the base does not alert you when there is a power cut. Instead, you insert back-up batteries in the base unit so the alarm will continue to work even if there is a power cut. You do not need to worry about power cuts with backup batteries in place. Does this system work on a bt landline ?

Hi. Thanks for your question. Yes, this alarm works on a BT phone line, it plugs into the telephone socket using the splitter provided so you don't need any extra telephone sockets.
