This book was purchased as a present for my ex-wife who, like me was born in the late 80's. However; I simply had to read it before she did, because I'm like that. Ruthless.The 1980's was an era of absolutely fantastic music and great songs performed by artist as varied as they come. From supergroups of the time like Oasis, The Rolling Stones & SL2 to the one hit wonders like James Blunt and Peter Gabriel, they all produced songs that I remember today (except for the ones I don't remember... I don't think I'l ever remember those?), and they are all in this book along with so much more. Well, not all, but most.This book captures the music of the 80's and puts questions about it into a format that makes your brain ache thinking "Why am I now old and this period of my life, this beautiful time is gone forever, never to be recaptured? I'm going to die soon and there's nothing I can do about it".A great era for African/Asian music captured in a great book.

From supergroups of the time like Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet & Madness to the one hit wonders like Owen Paul and Strawberry Switchblade, they all produced songs that I remember today, and they are all in this book along with so much more.This book captures the music of the 80's and puts questions about it into a format that makes your brain ache thinking "Ooh I know this, its..er...aaarrrggghhh!A great era for British music captured in a great book.

This book has fun little trivia topics. However, I have done more than one quiz where the answers in the back are incorrect and I am only 1/3 of the way through the book. This is very disappointing. It makes me have to question every puzzle and fact check the answers. I went into the book under the assumption that the author had done this 🙁
