Brilliant picture and sound quality.
A brilliant TV with great picture quality and a lovely sound tone. The TV and remote are nice quality - solid and well-built. A decent weight, it is sturdy and looks really smart. When you switch it on, it opens onto the home screen, so you just select the TV or one of the apps. If you switch it off from Netflix, it opens directly onto Netflix again. To get back onto TV, you just press the ‘home’ button and select the TV option. The remote is the LG ‘magic’ remote which has a pointer which operates like a mouse. This can be a bit annoying at times, as it can be activated by a flick of the remote, which is quite sensitive and can be activated accidentally. You just press an arrow key to switch the function off again. (It will then pause what you’re streaming - meaning you have to press ‘play’ again, so a bit of a pain). It’s something that I’m just getting used to. Personally, it wouldn’t put me off the TV, as it’s such good quality. I’d definitely buy another one.

Fantastc picture
Last TV developed a screen fault so had to be new one. After a small amount of research I went for this in the 55 inch. Can't believe how good the picture is. Not just HD but also SD as it upscales with AI? Amazon were excellent. There was an offer on and for free it was delivered, set up and all pacakging and old TV were taken away. Their TV also had an offer on so got over £100 knocked off the price. Well worth the money. It's also very light and thin and looks great on the supplied stand. The Magic Remote took some getting used to but I paired it with my Sky remote which makes life a lot easier. All in all I'm very pleased.

High quality with loads of connectivity
Bright, wide-angle display with good sound (though we also bought recommended sound bar). More expensive than 2024 model, probably because of increased screen brightness (OLED used to be less bright than other displays). Apps easy to use - only Acorn TV not available for which we still use Apple TV box. It has satellite, terrestrial, HDMI, Bluetooth, optical audio, Ethernet and WiFi connections - as our wired and WiFi networks have different addresses (bad setup on my part) it was good that both network connections supported at the same time: I can mirror from my iPhone over WiFi and stream from wired connection seamlessly. The colours are clear and black is black as there the pixels are active with no backlight. Very pleased - but might have bought a slightly bigger one!

Great TV! Very impressive.
I bought this TV a few days ago, having been eyeing it up for a year (was interested in the previous model but kept waiting for a good deal). It turned up quickly in good condition. First impressions are very good. Easy to use, set up was fairly straight forward, although some of the apps prompted to go into each of them to set up accounts immediately - would recommend skipping some of those steps and coming back to them after the initial set up. In terms of functionality, the remote control is lovely, with a scroll button which also activates a pointer similar to a Nintendo Wii. The screen is brilliant. If you've upgraded from a standard LED (Even a 4k one), you'll be impressed by the image quality. Some people say OLED lacks in terms of brightness but I can't say I've felt any disadvantage so far. I was expecting the sound quality to be a bit naff because everywhere I went people told me I would need a sound bar, but honestly the audio sounds pretty good compared to previous sets I had. It allows you to turn on or off AI picture and audio enhancement on set up, so you can see the difference and personally I think it sounds superb! The only thing I struggled with a little was setting up the stand - the instructions made something very simple seem much more complicated than it actually was; and then I was worried about breaking it when I tried to move it into position without handling certain areas of the screen as instructed. Make sure you have 1 or 2 extra people with you to help.

Wifi connection issues
Overall was really happy with a TV. Great picture quality, sound was improved over my old tv, LG operating system intuitive and easy to use. BUT, I had to return this TV due to wifi connection issues where tv stays connected to a wifi router but shows mo Internet. Easy fix, switch off and on wifi on tv fix it but very annoying when had to do it every hour. Checked online for fixes as I m not the only one who has this promblem, actually it is common problem with other brands as well as tvs don't have the best wifi cards. Anyway, nothing I tried helped. Connect directly to a ethernet cable wasn't an option, as router is in different room and would take too much effort to get a cable into a living room. Very pleased with Amazon return process, TV was picked up next day after request and refund isdued. Great experience. Would I recommend this Tv.. Yes. It might be just bad luck with the unit I received, overall it's good tv for movies and gaming.

Great upgrade over last years model
The LG OLED55C55LA is a well‑rounded OLED TV that delivers impressive 4K picture quality with perfect blacks, vibrant colours, and wide viewing angles thanks to its OLED evo panel and Brightness Booster technology. Its α9 AI Processor enhances clarity, upscales content intelligently, and improves both picture and sound, while gamers benefit from HDMI 2.1, 120Hz refresh, VRR up to 144Hz, and ultra‑low input lag. Two clear upsides are its exceptional picture quality and its excellent gaming performance, making it a versatile choice for both film lovers and gamers. On the downside, its peak brightness is still lower than top Mini‑LED rivals, and like all OLED TVs, it carries a small risk of image retention with long‑static content. Even so, with Dolby Vision, HDR10, webOS smart features, and a sleek, minimalist design, it remains a strong all‑purpose OLED TV for almost any home setup.
