I like the attention to detail in the design, from the tiny candy to the charming store facade. The LED light adds a magical touch, and the dust cover keeps everything protected.

Perfect in every respect.
Oh, this is good; really good. What you get is a high quality, precision made kit and a great set of detailed instructions.I've seen lots of videos of people making book nooks from scratch and have been lost in admiration at their skill, inventiveness and patience. I've always fancied having a go but have felt a bit daunted by everything involved. This kit takes away that fear as not only is the quality of everything excellent but the instructions take you through a structured approach to assembly.Almost everything you will need for a full assembly is provided. The only things you need to bring are two AA batteries for the lights; scissors and some glue. No paints are needed as all the pieces are colour printed.I mentioned the instruction booklet earlier. I have to say it is an excellent example of how one of these should look. There are detailed witten instructions accompanied by full colour illustrations. One of the really nice things about the booklet is that it contained lots of little reminders to pay attention to things like the orientation of pieces and the sequence of assembly. The manual really is very good indeed. The kit comes in flat pack form with the main structural pieces contained within boards. An assembly tool is provided to help you extract the various parts from the boards. A folded "book" of self-adhesive stickers of book covers and wall pictures is also part of the kit. Everything looks to be of excellent quality.I have only looked at all the various bits and pieces so far. I want to keep the actual assembly for the long winter nights when it's dark by about 15h00 and usually pouring with rain - I live in the far north of Scotland. In summary, I am amazed at how good this kit is. It has exceeded my expectations by a considerable margin and I am delighted to recommend it. At just under £34 it seems correctly priced given its quality.

Magical but patience required
Ideal for any puzzle lover who also loves Harry Potter or magical mystical items. There are a lot of tiny pieces in this kit and a lot of patience will be needed so it is not for younger children. You will need to provide your own glue, they recommend a silicon based one and a couple of AA batteries for the lights. Test the lights first. The pieces are stored on boards and you carefully push and wiggle them out of the board. They even provide a little tool to help with assembly. The assembly instructions are quite good but most certainly you need to approach this step by step. Don't go popping all the pieces out first otherwise you'll be spending hours looking for the right piece each time. There are a lot of little stickers to place so the more careful you are the better it will look in the end. There are also other puzzle kits available so if you enjoy this one you can purchase others and add to your collection. First on my list is the Enchanted Night Alley.

Makes a great gift
This would make a great gift especially for a book lover. Itās really pretty to look at once completed. However you do need patience and a good degree of fine motor skills to build it as it has some fiddly parts. It takes a long time to put together so puzzle lovers would also like this. It feels nice quality so I think it will last a long time as itās fairly sturdy once made.

Great for kids!
I have assembled one other booknook before and this one was much simpler. I think this one would be good for kids. It does have a cartoony look to it.It was easy to assemble and didn't take too long. These are a ton of fun to put together! Definitely recommend for children or beginners!

good for kids
This is the second book nook kit I've made, and it was a lot simpler than the first one and only took me an afternoon off and on to put it together. Everything was cut completely, and fit together tight enough to stay without glue. That said, there are a few places the instructions do have you use the glue that is provided, mostly to glue book stacks to a flat surface. I did break one piece when popping it out of the sheet, but a little bit of glue and you couldn't tell. The pirates are a little cartoony, so I left most of them out. It also doesn't have any kind of dust shield or plexiglass cover, so the contents are going to need to be dusted and kept out of the reach of cat paws and small children. For the price point however, its a good kit and would make a nice gift for a younger teen.

Fun BookNook, nice lighting package
This Quanquer Pirate House a pretty good starter booknook kit. It is super that the panels are pre-printed. I can't imagine having to put stickers on all the pieces, so that is a huge plus. Everything went together nicely, the instructions were good and there were a few tricky parts in the middle. All in all assembly was a pleasant experience. There was only one tab that broke off of a piece. Some of the slots are a little tight, so quite a bit of pressure has to be put onto some pieces to get them to engage. I tried sanding one of the tabs down, but it didn't take much sanding to make the tab too small. So that fit is a little bit sloppy now.I was very impressed with the lighting package. It is great to have the switch in front, although a black button would blend better with the panel - to make it a hidden surprise. The wire routing and management needs some extra design, it is a little bit messy. However the overall effect is good. Not all of the pieces are double sided, the swords for example, so some unprinted sides are visible in the final assembly. The character illustrations are in interesting collection of around three different art styles. All of the pirates are the same size, but some are clearly children and others adults. I suppose that with forced perspective they could be arranged for an ideal presentation. The price point on this Quanquer book nook kit is perfect. It is an inexpensive way to have a few hours of entertainment. I denfinitely enjoyed it.
