Easy to install. Its own app is decent and works well with smarthings hub.Battery life is not 8 months, but it does warn you with plenty of time.It has a harder time reading finger prints when it's cold outside (likely because of skin in the cold), but generally works well. Auto-lock feature is very nice.

Great smart lock
I have been using smart locks for years, and this is my third. The Eufy replaced an August lock, so that will be the direct comparison. The August just reaced the inside portion, so reused the deadbolt mechanism. This Eufy replaces the entire unit, which has both advantages and disadvantages. If you're a renter, or want/need to maintain the existing key, leaving the existing deadbolt is preferred. However, replacing the entire mechanism, like the Eufy does, allows for more features, like the included keypad and fingerprint reader. For the August, the keypad was an add on.The Eufy also included wifi built-in, where with the August it was a separate component that was plugged in near the lock. While that requires more batteries for the Eufy, I prefer the all-in-one solution. The other advantage of the Eufy replacing the entire mechanism is how much more positive and direct the lock feels when locking/unlocking it manually. The August would sometimes get out of sync, and when turning the lock knob by hand, it would engage the motor and you would be turning that, too. The motorized locking is also more precise, and quieter, on the Eufy. The last advantage is really only for those already using Eufy. Having it integrated with the camera app is great. If you have a camera at the entry, you can locl/unlock the door from the same screen as viewing the camera. The fingerprint scanner works great, and is faster and easier than using a code. The one comaint I have is in the app. If you add codes for people like pet sitters, cleaning people, etc., you are limited in terms of how you allow them to use the lock. It's either always or scheduled. And you can't change that without removing the code and adding it back. You also can turn a code on and off. You have to remove it and add it. That's annoying and an inexcusable oversight. Hopefully that will be addressed at some point, but I don't have high hopes.

Excellent Smart Lock!
I bought the eufy E30 smart lock, and so far, it works perfectly! The fingerprint sensor is fast and reliable, the app is easy to use, and the installation was straightforward. I love the convenience it adds to my home, and the build quality feels solid. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great smart lock!

Great hardware. Works great as described. Some integration quirks.
Hardware and packaging on the Apple level. The software and integration is Okay, but works just fine. Integration with Google, Alexa almost without a problem, but it takes time to figure out how to open door by voice (you need to add Eufy account and code to Google Home and Amazon Alexa first, without adding as the Matter device :( ). Smartthings need to follow order when you adding device/service: Eufy first. Just open Eufy instructions paper from the box or online version and setup everything in Eufy app first. After that you can make your door lock smart.Closing/opening door is very quiet and quick. The only problem is that the lock can't detect if door is closed/open, but this by design. You can add door sensor for $3-5 (from AliExpress) to your Smart home, so you will be able to close the lock when door is actually closed.8 batteries is little bit overkill, but I hope it will survive more than 6 months.Matter/Tread support is okay, but at this time it's still many things needs to fixed and functionality limited compared to using manufacturing app and bridge. With BF discount this is the one of the best if not the best and affordable Matter Smart Lock for now.

10/10 must have for those who always left the keys somewhere other than in your pants
I bought this lock right after I spent $400 on a locksmith to get my home lockout fixed. I wish I had gotten this sooner. I got this model because of my Apple Home setup. It pairs with the eufy app easily, and then it integrates seamlessly into my Apple Home. The installation was a breeze if you’ve ever changed a doorknob before you will know how to install this lock without any instructions in like 2 minutes. The quality of the lock is top-notch, and the battery comes pre-charged. It fulfilled my goal to use Siri to unlock and lock the door remotely. I can also ask Siri the status of the door and it will tell me if my door is locked unlocked. I asked Siri multiple times a day because I frequently worried my pet would got out if I left the door unlocked and Siri will always reassure me that my door is locked. Plus, I can check a history of who’s used the lock. The fingerprint unlock is super fast, even faster than unlocking an iPhone back in the days. I haven’t had a chance to use the physical key yet because I only use it as a backup option. That’s the whole point of keyless entry, right? Now I can walk my dogs without carrying keys that was bundled with bunch of other flops and garage opener and risk dropping it while wearing my Lululemon shorts that does not has a deep pocket to key my key safe.

Stay away!!!
I had the lock for 2 months and the Wi-Fi dropped after 1 month. The lock would only connect via Bluetooth and fingerprints. When I decided to reset the lock, replacement it with new batteries, and reset app. Nothing worked. Now I can’t add the lock back to the app. WiFi is working fine for my other numerous smart devices on the same network. I reached out to support and they offered to replace the lock but I have to send the replacement back before they would send me a new one. Am I supposed to leave my home lock less until they send a replacement? Such a stupid replacement policy. I have been a long time eufy lock user and now they lost me forever. I will be going to Schlage encode plus.
