Great Value for Money Coffee Grinder
After using the Hario Mini Mill for just over 3 years, I decided an investment in a better grinder was needed. The coffee grinder market is flooded with lots of different options, so choosing one that necessarily fits your needs is quite tricky. After looking around for a while, I eventually opted for this, as it has a quality metal bur set, and a large range of adjustability. In the box I received the grinder, a brush for cleaning, and an instructions card with suggested grind settings for different coffee styles. Pros Upon opening, the first thing you notice is how heavy it is, due to the fact it is made almost entirely out of metal (save for the wooden handle!). If, like me, you are upgrading your hand grinder from something like the Hario, it is very obvious where your money is going! Another thing I love is how quick and simple it is to use. Adjusting the grind size is very easy, and the thing demolishes coffee, due mainly to the burr set being used, so grinding coffee is an absolute breeze. Again, if this grinder is an upgrade, you can definitely feel what the extra money spent has been invested in. The brush for cleaning is a nice touch too, and from my experience it isn't needed too much, as the grinder doesn't struggle too much with static, even without a water mist applied to the beans. Cons As I have given the review 5 stars these are very slight nit picks, and don't really take away many points. The main issue I have is that very occasionally, the handle has fallen off, although it MUST be mentioned that this IS NOT during grinding coffee, and only when it has been out on my work surface. It just can sometimes be slightly annoying reattaching it every time you load beans in. In summary - a great, quality grinder that produces great tasting coffee. If this is an upgrade from a cheaper hand grinder, it is definitely a solid option if your budget prevents spending more.

Great all round grinder
Wanted to get a 'proper' grinder for espresso for a while. Initially thought about one of Kingrinder's cheaper models but decided on this one. Not disappointed with this at all. It is very easy to use because of the way you set the grind you want. If you use 36 for espresso and 82 for filter it is easy to move between them. It is easy to use, weigh your coffee, add it to the grinder and about 40 seconds later you have your ground coffee. You probably could use a drill to do the grinding but it doesn't take that much effort. Have really enjoyed the coffee that has been ground using this. Even supermarket bought beans taste reasonable using this grinder. However, using freshly roasted beans through this is a big step up. You can tweak the grind by a single click and notice the difference. Really pleased with this grinder and the easy of use. Recommended. Update: Had this for over a month now. Use it every day and the coffee I make, even with supermarket beans, tastes really good. Using specialty beans you get really great coffee. Use the grind settings as a guide and gradually change them to get the best results. Best bit of coffee kit I have purchased. 4 Month update.: Have been using it every day since getting it and still love it. Found most of the suggested settings seem a bit high. For espresso in a Flair I have found 32 to be a good starting point rather than the suggested 40. I have tried a couple of very light roasts and I did struggle to grind them for espresso. For pour over and french press though it was fine. 1 year update: Has been used every day during the year and it is still my best coffee related purchase. The only thing is that the rubber grip can move but that is it. Buying this for use with a cheap espresso machine sounds silly but the coffee is great assuming you use decent beans. Even my wife has said how good the occasional coffee she has is.

Great first grinder
I recently bought an espresso machine and wanted to start grinding my own coffee beans. I settled on this one as it's generally considered a solid hand grinder. Build quality is excellent. It has a nice finish, screw threads align perfectly and it fits together well. My only criticism is that the knob is a little too easy to pull off when grinding. The grind quality is excellent. I grind at 30-40 clicks for espresso, which results in a lovely powdered finish without clumping. I have ground coarser for cafetiere coffee, which was an equally good result. Hand grinding is a pain, however. I quickly tired of it and ended up buying an electric grinder (Eureka Mignon Specialita). To be fair though, I'm making several drinks per day for two people. If you're going to be making a couple of drinks per day, this is an ideal balance between affordability and functionality. If you're making more than that, go electric - your shoulder will thank you!

Buy one you won't regret it!
The grinder is often touted as the most important bit of kit when making coffee. I use the Kingrinder to make espresso using the robot and it is more than sufficient. Hand grinding is slower than machine but I can weigh, grind and tamp in the time it takes my kettle to boil. It has a good solid build quality and provides consistent results. To get similar from an automatic grinder I'd need to spend more than four times the price. The size is perfect for espresso shots and pour over. Overall the design is nice and it's it easy to maintain (just brush out the old grinds to clean, they include a brush). The only problem I have had is that the wooden knob on the end of the handle has worn out, but the ones designed for other branded handgrinders fit nicely and are cheap to pick up online. At some point for laziness I may upgrade to an expensive automatic grinder but I'd still keep this for weekends or to take to work.

Brilliant little grinder
Yes it was expensive and I wasn't sure if it would make much difference, but compared to the little electric chopping blade grinder I was using, it's night and day difference. Once you get the settings right, it's perfect. Took me a few brews on my mokka pot to get it just right. No more blockages and spluttering and no more slightly bitter coffee. I'm not willing to spend the amount of money needed for a good espresso machine and bigger grinder. But if you're like me who's happy with a 6 cup mokka pot and a Vietnamese dripper, this is a great grinder to go for. Fill it up to the top and with very little effort and about 20 seconds, it'll all ground up ready to go. EDIT: After just under a year of use, the wooden ball fell off and don't stay on. Seen others reporting the same issue, seems to be a thin metal cap that keeps it in place, but that wears out quickly. Still useable, just a bit annoying.

Great grinder
This is a great manual grinder with a good, function range of grind sizes. I'm not overly keen on the mechanism used to captivate the shaft holding the burr. It makes cleaning a bit more of a task than it needs to be and if you wet your beans, id suggest doing it with as little water as possible and to regularly push your burr cap up from the bottom when adjusted to a courser grind so the shaft moves. This grinder really does not like having water in it and if you leave it on the same setting when using sprayed beans - its very likely you will cease the bearings and have a tough time getting them moving again or even have to replace them (you'll have to look up a video on how to do that from a 3rd party). This grinder is heavy in a good way - its well built. It looks like a grinder. Over all very happy with the grinder, but wish I know spraying beans was maybe not a good idea unless you regularly move the parts around as previously stated

Excellent despite being budget friendly
When I got into grinding beans, I was using the usual entry level Hario grinders. Occasionally it seemed hard to get a good full set of flavours from some specialty coffees... Or there would be a bunch of fines blocking up the V60, causing it to drain slowly. I looked at a load of reviews online and got a local recommendation for the Kingrinder. I figured to give it a go and I'm so glad I did! Massively improved all of my coffees. Consistent grinds and very easy to make grind size adjustment. It powers through the beans so you can easily crank through 16g with low effort and really fast. Honestly, i'm so impressed and happy with this lil guy.

A quality grinder for coffee fans.
Bought as a gift for my coffee-obsessed partner who wanted to start grinding his own beans. This is the one he wanted, from reading multiple sites and reviews, and it did not disappoint. He uses it multiple times a week and it's been perfect so far for over a year.

Grinding the King and Kin
Excellent well-priced grinder. I would say, however, that 25-30 gram capacity would be more accurate than the 30-35 stated, but this made little difference. Their recommended click ranges for the various brews seem to be very high and that seems only in part a question of personal preference, but this is adjustable.

Molienda perfecta

Great grind quality and robust build – excellent value for money
The grinder performs exceptionally well; the grind quality is on par with much more expensive models. Thanks to the large steel burrs, it can grind coffee for espresso in about 25–30 seconds, which is actually faster than some electric grinders. The build quality is very robust—it's all metal with no plastic parts. Nothing rattles or wobbles. It also offers a wide range of grind size settings. The only minor downside is that grinding for espresso (very fine) requires a bit of elbow grease. However, if you sit down and brace the grinder between your knees, it’s perfectly manageable. Overall, after about 4 months of use, I am very satisfied with this purchase, especially for a price point around €100.
