Set of 3 Lightpainting Hollow Methacrylate Tubes

If you are looking at these for light painting, you are kind of in the right place, however there are two disadvantages, which is why i scored 3 out of 5.Firstly, they are expensive.Secondly, as they are, they do not work very well. Although they are coloured, firing a very bright light into them, using the rubber cone, (which you need) the results are very faint light trails at the body of the tube, light trails are recorded at each end.For the coloured light to show up down the tube, you need something for the light to reflect or bounce off, you cannot see light sideways shining down a straight uninterrupted tube.I sanded the inside of the tube, which is sacrilege for the price, but this gave a satisfactory effect, as the light is bouncing off all the scratches now in the tube.There is a distinct difference even to the eye. This is recorded much better by the camera. I also found the tube can move and go off centre in the cone, it is best if the tube is right up to the lens of the torch to help keep it in place.

Just gave it 1 star just cause it wasn't what I was expecting and was unable to use it for what I wanted it for namely light painting , tube diameter was way to small . Item returned for refund .
