Where is this product made?

Made in China. I have only used it about 4 times but am very happy with it.

Can this read thin items, such as hamburger patties? Is there a minimum amount of probe that needs to be covered to work?

Hi Raeyin,Yes, this thermometer can read thin items. The thermostat is right at the tip of the probe, so you only need to put the first half inch into the center of the food to get the most accurate reading.I hope this answers your question. Our thermometer worked fine on 20 lb turkeys. Just cooked 25 lb turkey for lst time and meat close to bones was raw. Can this one handle 25 lb turkey?

2 things may have given you a false reading... 1, you were not deep enough with the tip of the probe.... 2, you were too close to the bone ... especially if you cook the turkey UNSTUFFED you need to be just a little away from the bone.. (the open cavity will allow the bone to heat quicker) .... try a good BUTTERBALL turkey with the pop-up timer.. then take the temperature with your thermometer... you will know where to check it next time

My thermometer is reading 16° under actual temp. I put it in ice water to test after over cooking a couple of items. Instructions for calibrating?

Hi, To re-calibrate the thermometer, please follow these instructions: 1. Fill a glass with crushed ice, then top off with cold water. 2. Stir and leave for 3 minutes. 3. Stir again and immerse the probe in the ice water. 4.
