My daughter loves it!
The media could not be loaded. My daughter loves this money box! She’s completely ditched her traditional piggy bank and switched to this electric one because it’s so much more fun. It has a large capacity and runs on 3 x AAA batteries. The default code to open it is 0000, and you can easily change it by pressing the hash and star buttons once the door is open. Coins can be dropped in from the top, and notes can be fed in through the automatic feeder. Opening and closing the door is simple with the turn of a wheel. There are two sound options: a voice prompt or a beep tone. The voice prompt is quite annoying, so my daughter prefers the beep, though I find that a bit irritating too. It would be nice to have a silent option, but either way, it doesn’t bother her. Overall, it’s a fantastic way to encourage kids to save!

Fun but has its problems
The media could not be loaded. My son has been selling some of his toys recently to the point he's not just getting coins for his money box but also notes. I like him to see physical money so he can really see what he is spending, so instead of storing them in the back of a drawer I ordered this money box that also has a slot for notes. The "safe" money box claims to have many features including a number pad where you can choose your own code, a fingerprint reader, a coin slot, and note taker. I won't tell you the code that comes already programmed with this because no matter how well I follow the poorly written instructions, it will not allow me to set a different code to open the box. We have kept it with the default number, which is simple enough for my 5 year old to remember, but it would have been nice to actually have been able to change it.The note taker is a cool addition to the bank. You carefully insert a note into the note slot and some wheels rotate and pull it inside. It comes with a pretend note for you to try it out. The notes have got jammed once or twice but they were not too difficult to remove. The main issue is that sometimes it doesn't register that the note has fully passed through the slot so the mechanism keeps working and you can't get into any other mode to open the box up. This has happened a couple of times and I had to remove the batteries (not included). There is a lock dial on the front which does spin but is mainly for decoration. When you enter your code and touch the "fingerprint reader" (this is just a touch sensitive area, it doesn't actually read a print), the lock dial spins and the door pops open. When you close the door again it makes the sound of a vault door closing. As far as sounds go, the ones coming from this device are deafening. You couldn't discreetly access the box without the entire street hearing you. There are two extra features on the number pad. Song mode and instrument mode. Song mode plays different retro, and questionable, nursery rhymes when different buttons are pushed. For some buttons the sound is repeated rather than a new song for every button. Instrument mode plays different instruments when numbers are pressed, but they don't particularly sound realistic for half of them. The sound is also quite distorted and almost painful to the ears.Overall it has its failings but my son enjoys depositing his money and opening the bank for a lark. It is made from cheap plastic with very cheap electrical components so I don't know how long the mechanisms will last, but at least it will be easy to break into if we can't get the door open. For 14.99 (at the time of order) I would say it is overpriced as it is a cheap feeling item, doesn't keep count of the money, and doesn't do everything the manual says it does.

Fun way of saving up!
My little boy has been delighted with this money bank. He really likes that it loos like a safe, and loves the passcode feature. It takes both notes and coins, just posted through the appropriate bit, and they then fall into the main body of the money bank.At the current price of £14.99, it’s good value and a fun idea.

Great
Joollurm Money Bank for Kids,Electronic Money Boxes,Piggy Bank Upgraded ATM Money Safe for Kids, Cash Coin Saving Box Password Money Box for Boys Girls, Best Gift For Birthday Children's Day (Pink)Great little bank for kids. I got this for my 6 year old as he's taken an interest in counting and saving money. He is obsessed with this little safe and loves that it has a passcode. It's not the highest quality, pretty cheap plastic but it's perfect for an introduction to saving, counting and the responsibility of keeping your own money safe. Reasonable price too
