Live Milk Kefir Grains, Reusable Starter Culture (1tsp)

This was my first time using this seller for kefir grains. I used a previous seller before, but they were out of stock and I got impatient, so I tried this seller.I should have paid more attention to the reviews here. From the second I opened these grains, I had serious doubts about their viability. I decided to give it a shot anyway, only to waste a gallon of milk. I am no newbie when it comes to fermenting kefir, as I've been making all sorts of fermented things for many years. I know for a fact this wasn't "operator error," but poor product.Amazon made it right by refunding the purchase price, but I won't be ordering here again. I'll look elsewhere.

My grains did not survive. I contacted the seller who said they were going to replace them. haven’t heard anything else from them.

The shipping is most likely the problem. Heat kills the grains and these arrived in a plastic, screw together container that almost surely got too hot, or there wasn't enough milk for them to feed on during shipping. There was only a drop or two of milk in the container.

it took a few days, which the instructions told me to anticipate, and now i have a constant supply of curds and whey that i use in sweet yogurt-like treats with fruits and cacao & pomegranate powder, and also use garlic and other spices to make savory sauces. the small container has given me an endless supply of kefir. i'm very glad that i chose this brand.

Never survived, I try all in the instructions but didn’t work

Still growing the colony so have not really tried the end result yet. I an on the 3rd addition of milk and changing jars it is growing very slowly.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price was good but actually don't work. They don't survive a one week milk change. Bad taste also. Taste:Bad

They worked for me. Easy to use. Not multiplying super fast. But making great tasting Kefir.
