C5L Green laser and Light

I order the light for self and home defense. I am very pleased with this light, because it is not easy to find a flashlight/laser combo for the SS P365. It's a subcompact handgun, very popular for concealed carry. If I carry my gun at night, I want to be able to flash a blinding light at the source of danger, and land a laser beam in the center of its chest in less than a second. I have time to say, "You have two seconds to back off." It does exactly that. I can vary the lighting to just the light, or a flashing light, or just the laser, or both. I dialed it just a hair to the left and now it is spot on. Best part, I can dry fire train at home with my Mantis X10 device attached to a mag rail. No complaints, feel secure. FYI it fit the picatinny rail that I custom installed on my P365, NOT whatever rail the gun came with.

The C5L looks well made and compact fits my Sig sp2022 perfectly. I prefer the unit to stay behind the muzzle and this does that and looks like it belongs there. I know the reasons why others like lights to go beyond the muzzle for CQC and such. I don’t see myself in a hand to hand situation. The earlier units were gigged for the battery compartment and lids easily cross threading. No problem here. The rechargeable unit removes the possibility and that part works great. It also has an adjustable mounting plate that virtually makes it compatible with most any rail. I see many looking for something to mount on the Sig proprietary rails, this will work. This is what I don’t like, the activation buttons are hard to push. It seems to take a lot of force to push the buttons far enough to activate. If the buttons were a little taller or softer springs would help. Perhaps they are that way for the instant on feature used with their holsters. I think if you shoot with gloves on you might not be able to turn it on or even feel the buttons. So while I like the looks, fit and quality of construction, it’s falls short when it come to operating it. They’ve had button issues before and still. It is made here in the US, so give them that. I feel they need a little more refinement on the buttons. After some use I’m upgrading my review to 4 stars. It has great battery life for its size. The buttons are easier to operate after a brake in period but still can be hard feel with gloves on. No problem without any gloves though. Bottom line, a great unit for the price.

Very powerful light. Very easy to adjust. Built exceedingly well. What more can one ask for? The buttons work very well and the light laser is very easy to adjust. It appears to be state of the art.

Love this new addition to my firearm. Tho I did not like the original one I ordered for my EDC, seemed a bit bulky for the compact size to carry on. The manufacturer was more than happy to swap out for the bigger frame weapon I preferred to make use of. Great fit, looks nice, very practical light and laser & quality. Good value when purchased thru from Amazon.

The Viridian Universal C5L Laser comes in two options. One with green laser and tactical flashlight, and one with just the laser and no flashlight. I chose the laser only option. The unit comes well packaged in a box in which the laser and accessories are embedded in Styrofoam to prevent shipping damage. The laser is designed to attach to standard pistol pic rails, and comes with instructions, laser adjustment wrench, and battery charging unit with necessary cables. Once charged, I have found the laser to be usable for a period of weeks prior to need to recharge. Naturally, this depends upon how often you activate the laser and how long you leave it on. If you are using this for CCW, the only necessity required is having a holster that is designed for your specific model of pistol, to include this specific laser. Viridian sells holsters that are designed for use with their lasers, however, depending on what model of pistol you own, you might find it very hard to find the correct holster. As an example, I could not find a holster for my Glock 23 that will accommodate this laser.

I normally don't like leaving bad reviews but these things seem to be junk, or the seller is selling defective units! Bought one and the battery was junk and wouldn't hold a charge! Listed as new but showed wear and looked used. Ordered a replacement and one the new one the sight alignment screw doesn't work! doesn't matter what way you turn it, nothing happens and the sight is way off with no way to be corrected. Not sure if I should replace it again or just get my money back. After reading the good reviews I'm extremely disappointed in these. So far they seem like garbage and a complete waste of money!!
