IPX7 Waterproof Shower Radio, SEGURO Bluetooth 4.1 Shower Speaker with Suction Cup, Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with LED Mode Light, FM Radio and Build-in Mic

I bought this to replace an ancient shower radio which had seen better days. The unit charged within a couple of hours from a standard phone charger (not supplied) and the supplied micro usb charge cable. The pleasing red glow switches off when the unit is fully charged.The brief supplied instructions are very difficult to read since the text is very dark grey on a black background.The suction cup used to attach to the bathroom wall is very strong and I trust that the until will not be falling off any time soon.The sound quality of this small speaker is surprisingly good. I paired it easily with my phone and tested it with Melody Gardot's The Absence to see if all the subtlety of guitar sounds could be captured, and I was very pleased to get warm and detailed sound. It's a million miles from my tinny shower radio.Speaking of radio, the FM tuner provides great reception, but will not be suitable for people who like to retune to many stations since the tuning operation is awkward and there is no display to show the radio station. My advice; choose one and stick with it, since the unit always returns to the last station tuned when powered up.It's too early to tell if the quoted battery time is accurate, and I haven't had a chance to test the IPX7 waterproofing either. But it seems well constructed and hopefully will provide many years of service. Impressive for under £30.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very nice waterproof speaker.I wanted a waterproof speaker for my shower and also a speaker I can use outdoors and not worry about it getting splashed.Firstly I have to say that the speaker is very very easy to use. I got it connected to my phone in about 10 seconds and was listening to music in 15 seconds, cant ask for much more than that.The sound quality is extremely good with a very good strong bassy sound. It seems very very clear even at high volumes with very little distortion.The volume buttons double up as skip track buttons as usual with these speakers.Now this speaker is rated as IPX7 which means a device with the rating IPX7 is protected from accidental submersion in 1 meter (3.3 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes but it has not been tested against the entry of dust.So this means it is perfect for what I wanted it for. I have not tested it by submerging it in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes but I might at a later date and I will update my review with the results.The radio on the speaker is also pretty decent. I managed to find all the stations i want with very minimal fuss and the quality is as you would expect for an FM radio.So I am giving this 5 stars because it is a very good speaker with excellent sound quality.

40 years ago when I was 20 my friends and I thought how great it would be to be able to take our music actual into the shower. Now my partner and me can do that. But we can also use it stuck to the outside of our window to frighten off magpies who bother our chickens, also to pair it with all our phones, iPad s etc. Great product to have when you live in the remote countryside. Whilst its marketed as a shower speaker, I just wanted a decent Bluetooth speaker that I could stick to a window pane, so this really did fit the bill.The large suction cup on the back does a great job of holding it in place - to the point where its quite tricky to pull it off...not a bad thing!Once its connected - the rather posh voice lets you know - then the sound quality really is good, even at higher volumes.There was no distortion or popping.It really is impressive and fills a small room very well.Call quality is also excellent with the callers very clear.If you want to use it in the shower then I cant imagine you will have any problems; the unit is very well made and the buttons do seem reassuringly firm.The light show when you press the power button is also nice in a darkened room.Very good value with a lovely sound.

We bought this as an FM radio to go in the shower. We have a fairly good FM signal at home but without the charging cable plugged in, which acts as an aerial, the speaker couldn't pick up any stations and so for us it's 'not fit for purpose' as they say, and is going back. It works very well as a bluetooth speaker if that's all you need. Also the symbols on the buttons, as they are carved out of the rubber, are very hard to read in anything other than strong light.

Easy to pair. Difficult to see the functionality of the various buttons as imprinted into the rubber, multi-function buttons also a bit confusing. sound is good after a bit of pot luck button pressing!

Good sound and construction but the radio of the first sample I received was poor. It a was returned and a replacement sent very promptly which worked very well. Excellent product and customer service.

Good sound on hands free and blue tooth.
