Heat sensor damaged after first use.
The heat sensor in the bottom of the induction unit is surrounded by some sort of plastic. After the first use, the plastic melted and the sensor no longer moves up and down.I notified Vermicular support, never received a response.

Waterless Cooking at it's best
It finally arrived to Amazon with a 120 VAC Vermicular cooker than the 100 VAC previously available. The Musui-Kamado (waterless cooking) is something I like to try and the result is not disappointed; I have cooked vegetables, chicken, and rice, all came out great with good flavor.

Decent Product, Terrible Customer Service
Decent (but not great) product while it lasted. It took a month to reach customer support, and follow-up emails have since been ignored. Support feels non-existent, and overall it’s been a terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend this company.

Pot only!!
670 dollars for the pot only!!! Image shows the heating element but I didn’t receive it. I own the 2.0 version and those are amazing.

Mind blowingly awesome!
I've never used anything like this before. I've never had a rice cooker, but have used them plenty of times during my times in Asia (I lived in South Korea for two years). I've never heard of Vermicular either, but wow, am I glad I decided to gamble on this.It comes in a decently sized both, and within it are actually two more boxes. One has one part, and the other has the recipe book and cooker, and the cast iron pot. We've had a couple crock pots, but this has easily become my wife's new favorite "appliance." There are countless recipes included in the book, and give you so many ideas that I didn't even think were an option with something like this. It's so easy to use, and half the stuff you don't even need to use water for (which I can't even fathom--but I'm not a huge cook).Needless to say, this is far more than a rice cooker or a crock pot. It's almost like the most perfect way to be able to cook about anything you'd ever like. Yeah, this is expensive, but if you need a gift for your mom, friend, wife, partner, or whatever.. If they like to cook, boy do you need to get this for them. They will absolutely love it, and be amazed at its capabilities. If will easily become one of their more favorite things ever.
