This book is dark and graphic. It is a Stephen King book for children. After you read this firs.t you can decide if the story and disturbing images are something you want in your child's head. It doesn't seem to be a book for an 8 or 10 year old. The beauty of Biltmore is a backdrop for a horror/thriller.

This trilogy was so much fun to read! Fast-paced and thrilling. I read out loud to my daughter and we both loved them. We were on the edge of our seats wondering what was going to happen next! So much fun!One of my favorite things to do is visit the location where a good book is set. It makes history come to life. We can't wait to visit Biltmore Estate now.This author is very talented. We loved Willa of the Wood, too.The hunt for a new fabulous book begins...

My daughter read these and loved these. When we visited the Biltmore, it made the visit even more exciting for her, as she felt she had already walked the halls. We read the first book in a Mother-Daughter Bookclub at our independent book store and everyone loved it. I just bought the box set for my niece and she is obsessed with them. A must read for young readers!

I ordered this book (along with Willa for two different grandchildren for Christmas. They each ares enjoying the stories. I learned about the Serafina series when I stopped at the North Carolina Welcome Center when traveling and noticed the costumes. I picked up a brochure and knew this would be a great gift.

My daughter was enamored with these books. She cried a few times and that kinda seemed intense, but she couldn’t stop talking about how much she loved these stories!

Both my boy (10) and girl (8) love Serafina’s story. It is darker than I thought it would be, so keep in mind it might be a little scary. We read the story out loud together, but try not to read it too close to bedtime.

Sometimes kids books are great for adults. This wasn’t one of those times. I’ve never regretted hyping a box set until now. Hopefully my friends younger kids like them eventually. I’m giving three stars because I think kids will really like them.

My 12-year old daughter absolutely loved reading these books. She finished them in just a couple of days and is really excited about reading more from this author. The Biltmore Estate is now on her wishlist of places to visit.
