Ortho recommended these and was honest enough to direct us to Amazon vs. buying them from the ortho office (~$98 for 1 insert-not per pair!). Ortho recommended only wearing 1 insert on the foot with turf-toe. Took a chance that the pair was not cut specifically for left & right foot in this "Pair-Package", so I ordered this product. Also purchased a single unit for the specific foot from a different company, just in case. Both inserts in this product package were cut identically and reversible, so I used 1 for each of my son's athletic shoes. Length was perfect for both pairs of athletic shoes, and fit perfectly under the removable insoles for each pair of sneakers. Nice that they included a decent insole for each shoe if you're worried about messing up the original insole of your shoes. Realized we needed one for his football cleats also, which are the kind with the built-in socks and fit a little 'tighter' on his foot than the regular sneakers (Nike Vapor Pro 1). These did not fit: too long to get down into the socked-top of the cleats. The single unit I purchased (Cozlow ASIN #B0FF5C5V73), which was ~1/4" shorter than these, fit perfectly.

I'm very pleased with these insoles since they come with the hard carbon ones for my Hallux Rigidus and a second softer set that are cushioned which makes wearing the one that keeps my toe immobile comfortable. When my foot orthopedist saw mine, he wanted to know the details so he can recommend them to his other patients!! It's great to find foot pain relief without having to pay $450 out of pocket for a custom orthotic. As long as I wear these, I can stay away from foot surgery which is what I want!!

I like these a lot and they work amazing with the shoes I use them in. The only issue i have is that they do fatigue my feet when walking. That said they're easy to slip off and I really only use them when mountain biking. For that purpose they're awesome. They give my shoes a nice stuff bottom that the shoes lack on their own. They also help make the not so grippy rubber of the shoe lay flatter on my bike pedals so I get max grip. For the reason I bought them they are awesome! For walking, these are a bit of a pain. 4 stars for me, but you might like or need the stiffer sole.

I broke my foot a number of years ago and these plates help keep my foot stable in shoe - no twisting of the foot when walking on rocky terrain. I have purchased these items several times to avoid having to change plates every time I wear different shoes. The thickness is very slim and fits right under your insert. Good quality.

Another reviewer mentioned that they used these to make skate shoes usable as mtb shoes by stiffening the sole. It absolutely works and flexes a little more than a cycling shoes and is more comfortable on the pedal. I put these in no drop, wide toe box shoes. I used the included padded inserts with them and they make a great mtb flat pedal shoes!

This was a lifesaver for my son when he broke his pinky. It was stable and a good price. This helped my son’s toe heel faster. Fits great in the shoes and didn’t bother him one bit.

Bought these when I broke my big toe. I had been in the boot for a while and wanted to wear my tennis shoe. Had a friend that had the same problem and he thought these were great. They were too thick so I was still wasn't able to wear the shoe.

They hold your feet steady, but they don't fit in shoes very well, and so it raises your foot too high in your shoe and pushes you out the top of them, if you have a minimal toe box this will be difficult to use and get in and out if you want to change shoes.

The best quality. I've been searching for a long time for the right insole for walking comfort. I have a problem with my big toe; it can't bend in soft shoes. This insole doesn't cause pain in my ball of foot.

I was happy with the stiffness and its ability to return to flat shape after use
