They work; but when compared to the original dowels are a slightly smaller diameter. This makes it a little more challenging to put together the IKEA shelving for which several broken dowels needed to be replaced with these.

good value on the dowel pins. Used to re-assemble IKEA 16 hole. Came in very handy.

I have two Ikea Kallax shelves. I needed to temporarily store one while our basement is being remodeled so I disassembled it and laid it flat on a garage storage shelf. Unfortunately, some of the dowel pins broke when I did this. That's why I got these dowel pins. These dowel pins appear to be well made. They are straight and the glue flutes are cut deep. They match the dowel pins that came with the shelf. I couldn't find any imperfections. These are a standard size so they can also be used for other joinery applications.

They are not the kallax 11339 wooden pegs. They are wider and shorter.

These dowels are replacing some dowels I broke when I was trying to assemble a shelf. The old ones broke too easily and I got these as replacement. These dowels actually work fine and they are pretty strong, especially for my needs. I know these are for IKEA product but they work fine even if it is not an IKEA product.
