The Tao of Motherhood

My mother bought this book for me 40 years ago when I was a new mother. I've bought it for both of my daughters & for friends. It is an excellent meditation tool & a great encouragement for a tough job that makes us feel kind of crappy about our selves sometimes. Highly recommend.

This is one of the few books I have a physical copy of and I keep returning every year to read it. I got this two years ago when my child was born and the peace and wisdom I find it it are unmatched. A must read if you ask me.

This book was recommended by my therapist. She read it when her daughter was young and actually recommended it as more of a tool for how I can view parenting. I feel like it’s more for the parent than for the child and it sheds light on how sometimes less is more and how our own intuition can be the best advice of all.

Lovely book.

It's all to easy to get caught up in being a mum, if you're doing things right, is your child developing properly etc? This book doesn't tell you how to raise your kids, what's wrong or right, but it helps to centre you with wise words and watery pictures. An easy read with warmth at it's heart.
