Very basic, more a pocket book
Very basic introduction, a little less informative than I expected. I would consider it more a pocket guide if anything. Some useful basic information along with two (again) basic massage routines. Very much to get you started. Found her description of the massage client as 'your partner' rather offputting. I cant imagine hot stone therapy appealing to people just wishing to share massages at home, what with the investment in stones and heaters and coolers; while she also comments on the need for a massage qualification, again, taking it out of the realm of the home and into the world of 'the client'. Overall, okay, but nothing special. Re this particular copy, was advertised as being in 'excellent condition' but was covered in library stickers with a bent corner, so I didnt agree with that assessment!

This is a very useful book. It gave me a good insight to the holistic side of hot stone massage which was missing from my training.
