Great title to add to collection!
Great strategy /rpg game that I have played on multiple platforms. This is no exception!Fun story & game mechanics that can add a challenge too.Worth the money, this game will have turn based strategy fans coming back for more & even when the story is done there's plenty to do in the item world which can get extremely challenging later on!Speedy delivery & even though this is a Portuguese language title on the back, it plays perfectly fine in English.

Great Game, but Mechanically Inferior to Later Games in the Series
As someone who played the original on PS2 and feel in love with the series and with Nippon Ichi games in general, this game has lot of nostalgia for me. However, while the graphics have been updated from the older sprites the gameplay sadly has not.One of the big headaches from this game is that units only gain exp by killing enemies. This makes levelling support classes like the Healer very difficult in this game (this was changed from 2 onwards so that units gain exp from using skills). Given this is a remastered version, I would have liked to have seen this levelling requirement changed to be more like the later games. This is however a pretty minor complaint. The levelling aside, the game plays much like the other games. You have various unlockable characters and classes each with there own play style and skills. This game is a tactical RPG, so brining a balance of classes is vital to complete the maps where you will be vastly outnumbered by the enemy. (Or you can just use the mage classes to nuke everything from across the map without the enemy ever moving - the magic classes are a bit unbalanced in this game!)The story is the highlight of this game. Despite ageing mechanically, story wise it still remains (for me) the best. A perfect melding of the ridiculous with moments of genuine sadness and character growth, the rag-tag group that grows around main character Laharl is wonderful. I won't spoil the twists and turns of the story, but the main plot point is Larhal's attempt to replace his deceased father as Overlord of the Netherworld. From there, he gets drawn into a much bigger story and plot that will shape not only the Netherworld (the demon realm) but Celestia (Angel realm) and Earth. I'd recommend playing the game to learn more.Like all Disgaea games, the story is only the beginning of this game. With multiple endings, and various optional bosses to encounter, you can spend hundred of hours on this game if you truly want to 100% it. Just be mindful that things that make grinding levels quicker in the other games (such as evilities, cheat shop, all weapons having a 9x9 attack) are not present, so grinding to be able to beat Baal (The final optional boss with 999999999 in all stats!) takes a lot longer than on the other games (to the point I've never done it in this game). If you are new to Disgaea in general, this game is a great place to start if you like the series premise. If you have played 5 on the switch, I would say to be mindful of the difficulties of levelling in this game, especially the support classes. You might find this makes this game too repetitive for your tastes.
