Not So Fast: Parenting Your Teen Through the Dangers of Driving Paperback – September 1, 2013

I read this book while my son was taking the classroom portion of drivers education and I'm really glad I did. Sometimes I think we go on autopilot as parents and don't always consider everything that needs considering. As an example, I've been looking forward to the day my older son could drive so he and his younger brother can ride to school together. After reading Tim's book, I'm rethinking how soon I'm actually going to allow this to happen, if at all now, based on his research. Another example, I know I should check in with my kids and ask the usual questions: who, where, how, etc. but now I think I'll be asking for more details about routes and times. It's definitely worth a read, especially if it's your oldest who's going to be driving soon. Thanks, Tim!

Purchased this book and gave it to the teenager self. Rather than filter the information about the perils of driving, through the parent, ask the teen to read it. Especially why the book came to be. Book has excellent information, and if a teen is old enough to drive, then driving responsibly is a must and this book lays it out.

I'm becoming endorsed to teach driver's education and this book was a good read to prepare me for questions and other things relating to teenage driving.

I bought a copy for each of my children to read before my grandchildren start driving!! I never want to hear of them having an accident when driving.
