Sale or not, the value is hard to pass up on!
Coming from a much older 1080p monitor, the Q27G4XD was an incredible upgrade for me. Paying just ยฃ134.99 before postage, I'd say I got an incredible deal, very good value. The 2560 x 1440p resolution allows things to look super sharp, and going back and forth between 1080p and 1440p options in games really surprises me as to how much blurrier 1080p can seem, making 1440p a great, refreshing option. Jumping from a 60Hz to a 180Hz monitor makes a very big difference, even in just general scrolling on the internet. Until I got to experience it for myself, I never would have realised how noticeable the difference truly is, and it only gets better for playing games. Rotating the camera makes it feel as if I'm turning from left to right in real life, it's just that smooth. The IPS display has wonderful colours, especially coming from TN displays. Where previously I could have gone slightly above or below my monitor and have the colours go all wrong, the viewing angles on this monitor are truly great. When going too far to the right or left, you can notice things go a little... darker(?), but ideally you wouldn't be moving that far around the monitor when using it, so it really isn't an issue. I can appreciate the fast response times, inclusion of HDR, good selection of ports, and other features. This is a 27 inch monitor, and you should have seen my face when I first saw the box! I initially thought of the screen to be ginormous, but now it's normal to me, and an excellent upgrade that fits perfectly in my setup. Very easy to set up with the inclusion of DisplayPort and HDMI cables in the box. Also surprisingly thin, which I can always appreciate even if I won't be seeing it from the side too often. The RRP sits at ยฃ179.99, but the monitor frequently goes on sale. Even at full price, I think the value you're getting with this monitor is too great to pass up on.

Decent Monitor
reallly smooth, and resolution is decent love the look and its running 120fps nicely on my ps5. brightmess is adjustable. well worth the price. only thing is that i wish it had a usb port and built in speakers

Really impressed
For a budget monitor this is quality. The picture is crystal clear, it is highly responsive and has everything I need for a gaming setup. The menu is a bit fiddly to navigate through the buttons on the bottom right of the screen but other than that I am really happy. I am unsure how durable this monitor is, i get the impression if it were to suffer even a low impact bump it would damage the screen

Nice monitor, but built to a price.
First impressions - the display is beautiful. Bright, sharp, colourful, no dead pixels. The build quality is a bit tacky, though; the case feels cheap and there's a small uneven gap at the top of the bottom bezel that is probably going to collect dust over time. The stand is ok, but in trying to make it look cool is really not super stable in terms of falling forward. They provide a restraint to attach the monitor to a wall to stop it falling - but really, who's doing that!? The menu is not quite as bad as others have made out, but somehow the buttons never quite correspond to what you intend to do. It could have been so much less clunky for no extra effort. I've tried it for a bit of gaming and it seems good - certainly faster than my eyes! There is a built-in audio device that's picked up, unfortunately pretty useless as no speakers! There's a headphone socket that you could plug some into, but in reality I ended up having to configure all my computers to ignore it as an audio device - more hassle than if they'd just omitted it entirely. In summary, great display, but the build quality has suffered to meet the price point.

Great budget monitor for PS5, you won't be disappointed ๐
I bought this screen after doing tonnes of research, flitting between YouTube videos and Reddit posts to find the best budget monitor I could for my ps5. Online, no one seems to be able to agree. In the end, I just decided which were the main features I wanted and worked from there. There are some cheaper brands on Amazon selling monitors with the same specs, but I have never heard of a lot of them so wanted to stay clear of them. Normally I game on my LG C1, but that's our main TV and I felt bad for hogging it whilst my GF wanted to watch her shows (90 day fiancรฉ etc - in case you're interested). I was interested in a few monitors, but this one ticked all my boxes. Perfect size, nice black aesthetic, good OS options such as game mode, and a centre dot if you want it. Has low lag (0.5ms), and qhd output. PS5 has a max output of 4k 120hz, so there is literally no benefit going over this (that and a alot of ps games run at 60hz anyway). The monitor switches between 120 and 60hz automatically which is perfect for an easy set up. This monitor is literally plug and play. Couldn't be happier ๐ mine has no dead pixels, the screen quality is crisp/sharp, and plenty bright enough even in a bright room. If you're on the fence or just want to enter a gaming setup without breaking the bank, this should definitely be on your list. Only potential downsides : it has no built in speakers - wasn't an issue for me as I play with a headset. But it does have a jack on the back of your wanted to plug in speakers/soundbar etc. The colour is a little bit red/warm to me - it looks great, and it might be because I'm used to seeing my games on my bigger TV screen and the settings may be a bit different; but it looks great.

Amazing for gaming
I have used a 60Hz monitor for a long time but decided i wanted my gaming to take a step up. This monitor feels very large compared to my old 23in, but still feels slim and compact, so that i can have it not take up my whole desk space. The quality feels really great, and the refresh rate feels so smooth. At firs,t I could only get around 120Hz, but I realised that to get 180Hz, you NEED to use the USB-C DisplayPort cable to hit the max refresh rate, so keep that in mind. If you are in the market for a new monitor for gaming, I 100% reccomend this

Great screen at a great price
This AOC monitor is a 1440P (QHD) 180HZ (high refresh rate) HDR capable screen. I've been using a 1080P 120Hz AOC as my primary monitor for the last 3 years and been very happy with it. I've changed my graphics card to one that is more suited to a 1440P monitor so decided to get this to pair with it. Overall I'm very happy with it. It's a nice large screen (27 inch which is as much as i like for desktop use) , vibrant and very smooth with the high refresh rate. A good monitor at a great price.

amazing for the price.
Decided it was time to upgrade from my 2 DGM IPS-2701WPH 27" IPS LED Monitors that are over a decade old and cost ยฃ319, at the time. What a difference it's made. I've got the AOC Gaming Q27G4XD side by side with one of my old DGM's and initially thought I had dead pixels on it. However it turns out the image quality is so good that it picked up some white dots from my desktop background image that the DGM didn't display. Good points โ As mentioned above the image quality is astounding in comparison. but there are lots of options in the OSD to fine tune to your requirements. โ At ยฃ134 on sale, it was an absolute steal. it's currently back up to ยฃ189 as I write this review. I intend to buy another if / when the price drops again> โ The frameless border is great, coming from the DGM which had a massive side frames. โ Although not immediately apparent, it is VESA 100 for wall/arm mounting. The only niggles are: โ There's some very minor black space on the left and right of the screen before you reach the frame. I'm not sure if that's because I have the DGM connected as a 2nd monitor but it's hardly noticeable anyway. โ There's no USB hub although it's advertised, never needed it though. โ No built in speakers, but again I didn't need them. All in all , this monitor is a steal when it's on sale and I'm really happy I found it. Just a word of note, there are several variations in the AOC Gaming Q27G4X range. From what I can tell the AOC Gaming Q27G4XD is the newest version that has FAST IPS, the Q27G4X does not, and the latter is sometimes more expensive than the Q27G4XD
