This is a really cool set. First, the packaging is shaped like a race car helmet. You push down the wrench and the eyes light up and it talks. When you open it, there are a lot of individual packages that contain the car pieces. You can choose which car you want to build (out of two styles/color choices). I got one of these sets for each of my children, and they all enjoyed doing it from 6 to 14. I think some of this is pretty ingenious like you actually use the light/sound component that was in the helmet as the car engine (so it lights up and your car talks). Also, it comes with everything you need. They include a tool that in the end becomes the exhaust pipe of the car. You can also take your car apart and build the other one and switch back and forth. You can't build two full cars at the same time though. This would make a great gift for any kid that likes cars. But, like I wrote, all of my kids, girls and boys and some not so into cars, enjoyed this. The stickers for the cars are good quality, and the end result is a substantial car. It has a little weight to it, and it's pretty good quality and a good value especially for the fun activity of building the car. The "oil" slime is sticky at first but better the more you handle it. I think this is a super cool set! I look at reviews a lot while shopping. I hope this review helps!

Got this for my son as a present he loves cars and slime. Kept him busy all day just messy with all the slime.

Bought this for my 11y/o grandson. He absolutely loved them. He gave one to his friend. It was a little challenging to put together but they enjoyed the finished car.

Bought 2 while they were on sale for under $7. They aren't a bad build once put together, I thought you could easily mix and match parts, but it's more of build 1 of the 2 models. It does say metal machines and they are completely plastic. A fairly quick build and easy to put together. Not sure how often you would swap the car bodies.
