The basement of our rental floods on a regular basis every time we get a heavy rain. After pumping dozens of gallons of water out of the basement during our last rain storm ,I was searching for something to keep the water at bay. That's when I came across this Threshold Water damn in the 67" long size.I have not used it for it's intended shower purpose, but this definitely helps to redirect and hold back the pooling rainwater in my basement. It is durable and sturdy, not flimsy even though it is flexible as it is made of a thick rubber/silicone like material that keeps its shape. The adhesive tape on the bottom of the dam is sticky and easy to use. Just get it started, push down a little to the floor and pull the tape as you made your way down the length of the damn. Be sure to clean your surface before applying to ensure a great seal. In my case, we affixed it to the concrete basement floor and the dam stuck at first "stick" and stayed put even as I maneuvered the barrier to lay it out straight across the floor. It is a bit challenging to cut through the barrier if you need to size it, but in all fairness, I was working with a rather dull blade. You should have no trouble with a fresh cutting blade.The material is very thick and heavy, so it is effective at keeping the water that seeps in in one area of the basement, rather than migrating all over and ruining the things I have in storage there. Since we are not using it on a smooth surface, we took the extra protective measure of sealing the edges with caulk and it looks like we've solved our flooding problems for good, or at least mitigated the urgency during rainstorms.I believe this would be great in a shower scenario or any kind of situation where you need a good, sturdy and easy to install water barrier. I highly recommend this threshold if you are looking for a well-made, attractive and sturdy water barrier to install in your home.

I took out the sliding acreen door in my sons bathroom which also meant removing the railing on the bottom and on the sides. This splash guard i put along the wall and the floor where the old sliding door rail use to be and it looks great. It doesnot look so empty and it is functional since it helps prevent splashes. Great value and seems to be very durable. Make sure you clean the surface first for better wall adhesion

Our shower has such a low ledge that whenever we shower, water spills out over it. Very annoying. This water dam keeps the water in the shower, was very easy to install, and is very secure in place. No more water on the floor!

I needed this to block water running down the tub. Instructions were easy to understand and super impressed with all of the supplies/tools it came with. The material was easy to cut through and bend. Highly recommend.
