I highly recommend this book. It describes Jackie Robinson not only as a color-barrier breaking ballplayer, but equally a man whose life impacted many long after his playing days. He was a tireless worker for good for all people, but especially for black Americans to achieve the civil rights our constitution guarantees them.

This is the second excellent book I have read recently about Jackie R's faith as related to his singular accomplishments. The other is "42:Faith". Together they are a great "double play."
